Per Feldman.

Damn that is a risk. I member when Freeman was still a player not long ago. Who would have thought 18 months ago he would have a big time job like that before Fickell, who gave him his first real shot.

Hmmm, Fickell may have overplayed his hand. They don't even want to wait it out?

This was a lazy desperation hire by Notre Dame.

They probably did that to spite Kelly….now they think all the assistants will stay in place at ND

Is anyone coming over with BK?

Seems like that has to make Daronte the favorite to remain DC now.

You don’t hire a head coach out of spite.

They did it so the cfb committee won't leave them out of the top 4 if teams ahead of them lose.

Looks like they’re keeping most of their staff. BK starting from scratch. Doubt that was expected

Did Joe Alleva become their AD and nobody tell me about it?

The question now becomes, which members of ND staff will follow Coach Brian Kelly to LSU?

Mike Elston is an elite DL Coach with ND.

I have confidence that Coach Kelly will put together a good staff.

Geaux Tigers!

Reminds me of the Archer hire.

It may be a risk, but this is a ludicrous statement. At the very least, the guy doesn’t have an overwhelming losing record as a head coach, and can coordinate a full side of the ball

That is such a panic hire. Just don’t see how he’s ready to run a big time program yet

freeman has unknowns as a head coach for sure, but he might be the guy can that can take recruiting to the next level.

that's what Notre Dame is betting on.

Congratulations Coach Freeman!

The great thing is we don’t even need to worry about Kelly’s ability to hire an elite staff. He will. He always has everywhere he’s been

This isn’t some crapshoot like it was under Orgeron

Riley was a risk for OU. He'd only been an OC for a few years and got handed the reins to arguably one of top programs in the country.
