pointless 24/7 operation and vax mandates. So the backlog of container ships in the port... is going to get much bigger.

If the port is backed up, how is 24/7 operation pointless.

Let's go Brandon! Great job buddy!

While he’s doing terrible, Gavin Newsom is the real villain here. He’s fricking over everyone. I’m surprised Xi Jinping hasn’t stuffed his beloved horse’s head under his sheets in his Napa estate as a warning.

Also were you like me and the phones went off the line from customers from all over bitching the day after Newsom wasn’t recalled?

I was just there this weekend (Newport) and the ocean looks like the Tickfaw on 4th of July. Ships everywhere and more stacking up.

Talked to a local guy at a bar and he said while the 24/7 looks good on paper, they are having trouble getting enough trucks to load the containers and once they get loaded, the truckers are having trouble unloading due to warehouse space being tight. He did say the 24/7 stuff is pretty much pointless at this time.

Take this with a grain of salt as just repeating what he told me.

Long Beach and L.A. ports are basically one gigantic port. Technically they're 4 miles apart. They both have 7 container terminals.

guess it depends on what aspects are running 24/7 and if running 24/7 is aiding the bottleneck

For example (no idea if true because who knows with anything anymore) it was reported for a time there was a trucker shortage causing the bottleneck. Well if there are no truckers but the port is operating 24/7, I could see there being a scenario in which people are just standing around for vast amounts of time because the bottleneck simply got pushed down the line a little bit.

Still not sure if that renders it "pointless", but it does mean you don't see results at the end of the line in that type of scenario

Awesome. I need a rear hub for my SXS and local parts place I usually use said it would 83-88 days.

FJBLGB

I just ordered an off brand model that I hope will last until the genuine one comes in.

I had to do the same thing with a winch solenoid. Warn has on backorder until mid December... so I put a chinese one in it but I dont trust it.

While painful, what has happened and is happening surely will cause leftist voters to not vote left in 2022.

Thanks for the clarification. It’s amazing to me how we have such a massive trucker shortage. How did this happen overnight?

If that were the only thing being held up, you'd have a point.

The Vax mandate and Cali tracking protocol is what is pointless. Same thing thats not allowing out of state truckers to enter the port.

Not gonna happen. You see more containers go through LA/Long Beach than quite a few other ports combined. It's like saying "if your nose is stuffed up try breathing through your ears".

My client (and their competitors) is going to move more through Oakland and Houston now. Have been for a while. I doubt a strike for any length of time in Long Beach is going to slow that pivot.
