If I were him I would seriously consider coming back. But even though Max has not solidified himself as a starter he will still have to win the job and he might not want to do that.

We've got 2 young guys fighting for it. Max most likely will be the starter next year. Brennan, just needs to go somewhere, where he'll get there and get the start no matter what.

At this point Johnson has SIGNIFICANTLY more playing experience than Brennan. Brennan has been in the program forever, but he's only played in basically 3.5 games (3 in 2020 and a few significant appearances in 2017). Certainly, there will be a QB competition in the spring as Johnson didn't cement himself as LSU's QB going forward. But the prevailing thought could be that was more of a result of a weak, first time OC that was always slow to adjust (LSU was generally good in the first half of games...much worse in the 2nd).

Brennan has what 1-2 seasons left? If he stays at LSU there is no guarantee he will be the starter. As a transfer though he has the option to pick a place where he is given more certainty of being a starting QB next season.

Brennan would be the perfect bridge between 2022 and 2023 Howard starting IMO. However, I think he's looking for a place he can definitely start for his last season of eligibility. He has no eligibility left after 2022 whether he plays or not being a 2017 recruit.

A battle with Johnson and Nussmeier, while I believe if healthy Brennan should win that competition, doesnt mean he definitely would. Which is what he's probably thinking aqs well.

Johnson is ok our Online is garbage. Tom Brady wouldn't have looked good behind it. When you're bull rushed and sacked 8 times a game... Myles has one shot left. It should be with a contender not a rebuild. Wish him well.

Hope so.
He doesn’t hold the ball as long.

With Kelly’s OL reputation he might.
But if not, good luck young man.

There’s just no world in which you can convince me that Max will beat out both Nuss and Howard

Brennan could become a rockstar at Auburn, or another school with the quarterback position in flux

There is also a good chance he is the starter. No one is being handed the job. My point of having to earn the starting job is the point. Myles wants to go somewhere he is guaranteed to start since it will be his last season.
