Through the process of elimination, timing and logic the CC board still has no clue.

This is way more mentally draining than I thought.... and we still have to get Coordinators and finish the recruiting class as well. Whew

there are clues...if a new coach isn't announced in next few days, then one can assume the target is coaching this weekend, or is waiting to see who gets in the playoffs...

This is the most painful part as time goes by. Everyday the sense of urgency increases because of recruiting (unless folks in the know are working behind the scenes which I believe is doubtful b/c these kids would be talking and we would hear about it).

This is exactly why the best AD's get paid big bucks. I don't think I could handle this pressure.

The only deception is going on is timing.
The candidate pool grows starting a week from now, and then even larger once NFL coaches start to learn their fate.
So the question is, how long does he want to wait?
If you want Rhule, it may be 3-4 weeks from now, for instance

The only issue I have is ESD. Do we basically throw away this class by waiting to announce the new hire too late?

I am surprised that more has not been said that Davis was chosen for interim coach over several other longer term coaches. Maybe his choice has to do with who is the next coach and the new coaches systems will begin to be installed.

I believe so, yes. So if we have a hire announced tomorrow or Wednesday, shouldn’t be an issue. If we have to wait until after the CCGs, you’re cutting it close.

This thing was wrapped up prior to O being fired. He fired him as soon as he got a chance because he had his guy already. It was done. It makes sense to be Aranda or Rhule,
