Why would you want to come here and put up with a fanbase that will hate you if don't beat Alabama and play for titles every year. Would I have kept Les and O around? Probably not.. But we haven't exactly made it easy on ourselves.

we gave Les plenty of time. O is the one that will scare off potential hires.

USC has fired more coaches faster though? Don't think that's it.

Please, for the love of God, stop saying this stupid shite. Miles was retained too long and Orgeron had back to back .500 seasons in which he made some absolutely terrible hires and said all kinds of stupid shite including another coach had to tell then how to play defense.

bullshite miles needed to go and orgeron drove LSU off a cliff after 19. Having to win the last game to be bowl eligible is fricking terrible lol

O is pretty much a fricktard and shite the sheets after the Championship. I doubt any top flight coaches see him as a comparison.

O had several scandals that all started with him cheating on his wife before the championship. Then he couldn't manage the roster, hire coaches, win games or stay off the news for being a jackass. He was too involved in politics as well. That never helps.

You’re absolutely right! We should settle for 4-7 wins per season and a middle of the road bowl season. No reason to strive for success because we had to live through the bad football years of the 80s and 90s!

BTW, I want whatever you’re smoking if you think there’s a single fan ban base of any team on our level that doesn’t want to win NCs every year and beat their rival.

Having 2 dumbest coaches ever to win natties should counter that though.

For real. If you consider yourself better than those two geniuses the job should be appealing.

Anyone who says or believes this has zero clue what they’re talking about.

Ed Orgeron and Les miles have a combined zero respect within the CFB coaching community. LSU would garner less respect as a program if we’d kept them than if we’d fired them.

No coach is looking at those firings and saying that LSU keeps too short a leash—they are looking at LSU and saying “I can’t believe they took so long to fire those absolute morons”

Stop taking selfies in bed while ur school is being investigated. Its not hard to see he had to go.

Take that aside, any coach that expects to keep a job here after losing 6 games, doesnt need to be considered.

Yeah, one guy got 12 years, the other never should have been hired.

Coaches know how undeserving those two were

Yeah, you just fired a HC who gave you an undefeated championship season after a covid yr in which you replaced half your record setting offense. His new hires on O and D were getting better by the week enough to knock off ranked Jimbeaux in the last game of the season

Coaches want job security. This is not it.

I can understand the Les Miles firing. We had a couple of good years outside of the 2011 season since his national championship team in 2007 and refused to adjust the offense to the modern-day. O had off-the-field issues which could've made the school even less appealing. I think that is what led to the firing of O.

He’s named in a title 9 lawsuit

In order to clean up the program, anyone associated with that crap has to go

And he has personal issues

Texas has learned and Florida will be learning that firing coaches every three or four years is a program killer.

LSU fans think very highly of their program. That much is obvious.
