Riley shrugged and didn't speak when he was first asked about the LSU job last night.

"Lincoln, are you shocked that you've gotten this far without anybody asking you about the rumors this week?"
Riley mumbled something incoherent, and then there was silence for about 5 seconds as he shook his head and looked down from the camera:
The guy kept pressing, which then prompted Riley to say he's not coming to LSU.
This whole interaction is just incredibly awkward. Why not look at the camera and say the rumors are false the first time you're asked?
I'm not saying he's coming here, but while his words were definitive, the delivery most certainly was not. It had to be pried out of him, almost like he didn't want to say it.

Until something real solid comes out I 100% believe he got caught up in the moment and was super emotional and felt guilty that his team lost, after such a heartbreaker. That's when he pulled the 180.

He just lost to in-state rival in a close game with several beyond frustrating moments which cost them a shot at the conference championship and CFP. He was still fuming over it when getting needled about message board rumors that suggest his program is less than LSU’s.

I agree with the overall sentiment that at first he looks uncomfortable with the question. However his words didn't leave much wiggle room.

That is the demeanor of a man who sheepishly backed out of a deal after using LSU for leverage. He isn't coming.

He was holding this out as long as he possibly could to maintain leverage with OU administration.
