Y’all realize even if it’s done, OU will still get one last chance to counter, right?

This is not over. And he may be willing to say there for less than 12 million for all we know.

Bottom line is they don't think he's worth 12 million a year.

No once it’s done, it’s done. If they counter and he stays, then it wasn’t done.

True but is OU really ready to spend that money? LSU is.

I don’t understand how folks can call something a “done deal” yet the door’s still open to negotiations? How tf is that done then? I need someone to explain this to me. I’ve always thought done meant complete

We’re going to find out. Because multiple Oklahoma 247 mods all doubled down tonight and said it was all for leverage and they can confirm Riley is staying.

Their version of Shea fwiw.

He probably has to terminate the OU contract to sign the LSU contract. Then terminate the LSU contract to sign a new OU contract. I doubt he does that.

Also, the OU admin can decide to not let him coach any future games. He is probably done after tomorrow win or lose.

It's true. No matter how this has been papered or what verbal agreements have been reached, Riley can walk away from the deal any time he wants to prior to announcement. A lot of emotional pressure will likely be brought to bear by players, parents, admins, famous alumni, recruits, and so forth. We'll see.
