Assuming Saban and Day are not available, is Riley the best coach on the board?

Arguably Fickel, Matt Campbell, Matt Rhule, Brian Kelly, Urban Meyer

There's a second tier that includes Aranda, and Napier.

Am I looking at this wrong?

Kelly would be the best available but I don’t see it happening.

Is Woodward giving Kelly 12 Mil. Then yes Riley is the best available.

Don't know how you list Urban Meyer in the same category as Rhule, Kelly, Campbell and Fickell. Urban should be right behind Saban.

There are coaches who are considered top tier and most will put Riley in that category. Nobody will agree on the best coach after Saban.

I agree. I think Urban Meyer is a step down.

None of the coaches you mentioned are available including Riley. They are all employed

Riley wasn't even available. That's what makes this so incredible.

Did I miss something...are the Jags saying that they're going to fire him?

Dave Aranda is not second tier to Fickel, Campbell. I don't think he is second tier at all. He has been excellent at everything he has done.

Brian Kelly has done less than Riley

Can’t argue otherwise

I find it odd that you would question Lincoln Riley’s credentials while placing Ryan Day’s name next to Saban’s.

My daughter goes to OU. In her third year. I follow OU. Have been to a half dozen games. Riley is going to be a huge disappointment at LSU. Stoops and Switzer built complete and powerful teams. Riley needs very talented QB's to win. His D is always suspect.

In a weak league.

I would take Fickle or Campbell. Riley is fool's gold.
