51% say that they may not be able to get what they need due to inflation and product shortages.

Poll: 77% of Americans now say inflation is personally affecting them

Yahoo

More than three-quarters of Americans (77 percent) say inflation is affecting their lives as the holiday season begins, according to a new Yahoo News/YouGov poll — and a clear majority (57 percent) blame President Biden.

The survey of 1,696 U.S. adults, which was conducted from Nov. 17 to 19, also found that more of them selected inflation as the “most important issue facing America” (17 percent) than any other issue, including COVID-19 (15 percent), which continues to kill more than 1,100 Americans each day, on average.

A majority of Americans (51 percent) also say they’re worried they “won’t be able to afford what they need during the holidays due to inflation,” while 45 percent say they’re worried they “won’t be able to get what they need” due to shortages.

As an OT baller I rarely pay attention to the cost of things. However, I do put a certain amount of money in our shared checking and I’ve noticed it emptying faster these days.

Even the Uber trip to the airport has gone up. It used to be a $30 flat rate. Just paid $43.

Similar here, we share both, but use one for swipe at the register/pump purchases and one for bills as an added layer of protection on the main account. A couple of times now I have had to manually transfer extra money because the general allotment hasn't been enough. Usually we have a bit of a surplus and it builds up extra. So we spent the surplus, plus I have added extra to cover day to day expenses. Brandon did that shite and wants to tell me get the jab or lose your job. One thing I am not thankful for today is that pos.

Spending more each month on household goods is a small price to pay for no more mean tweets.

Inflation affecting food and fuel impacts 100% of us. I can’t say I am doing anything differently than I have done in the past, though.
