Cut the bullshite centrist act. Every time I’ve seen you argue it’s been damn near in lock step with mainstream progressive ideology. Your side is the left side of the political spectrum.
Your take on bail is very libertarian, but I don’t be piece for one second you’re coming at it from a libertarian foundation. Rather all your posts and arguments lead me to be liege you are coming at it from a restorative justice standpoint and your true belief that minorities just aren’t as capable as whites so therefore you must tilt the scales in their favor.
No, every post you notice. I’ve argued against restorative justice, repeatedly. I’ve called out leftists for bullshite.
But anyone outside of the political dichotomy makes some of you uncomfortable, so you try to force me into a box I don’t come close to fitting in.

Alaska tried this and it failed in spectacular fashion.
The people literally revolted and voted out those who supported it. I loathe anyone who supports this shite and lives in their ivory tower.

Alaska was the first state to implement a mandatory catch-and-release system in 2016 and the bail reform algorithm quickly created dire public safety consequences. One of the bill’s original sponsors, Mia Costello (R-Anchorage) led the charge to repeal several parts of the bill. Alaska Governor Bill Walker signed HB 312 in June which now allows judges to consider out-of-state criminal history and removes mandatory “catch and release”, returning these critical decisions back to the judges where it belongs.

No, you didn't. And you maintaining you did so doesn't change the fact you didn't.
Attacking someone for being an advocate for eliminating monetary bond using an example of someone being released on monetary bond makes zero sense. That’s the point. Better?

Chisholm has long pushed to divert nonviolent offenders away from the prison system with alternate programs, and has spoken previously about reducing the number of incarcerations in Milwaukee County.
It’s probably not a terrible strategy for minor, nonviolent offenses, but clearly he expanded it to cover all crimes considering this fellow’s rap sheet.

And to revisit this, I’ve never, not once, pretended to be a centrist. I’m a minarchist libertarian which is about as “not centrist” as it gets short of being a full blown anarcho-capitalist. Pretty much everyone on this board is more of a “centrist” than I am, by fricking definition

This failure of a system hurts poor people.
Utopians are the absolute worst.

The fact that the current monetary bail system doesn’t keep killers in jail is the fricking point. I’m not sure how some of you don’t understand this.
Dude had a sheet longer than my arm and had just run over his ex with his car.
$100000 bail was appropriate here, not $1000. It works if you don’t apply it like a monkey with an avocado for a brain.

And then you find out he has $6k cash and puts the other $6k on a payment plan to a bondsmen and then gets out, and then you’re all pissed.
Have a detention hearing like the feds do. He’s either a danger/flight risk or he isn’t. Money has nothing to do with it.

has spent his career supporting cash-bail system reform because he argues it criminalizes poverty.
In an interview with the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel the year he was elected, Chisholm said: “Is there going to be an individual I divert, or I put into treatment program, who’s going to go out and kill somebody?”
“You bet. Guaranteed. It’s guaranteed to happen.
“As long as it’s not my kids, it’s the price I’m willing to pay.”
It’s not about reform, it’s about creating chaos under the guise of equity.
