Want to start following a team, who resembles LSU the most, fans, city, tradition, etc! Thanks!

A team with good talent burning through bad coaches?
United... Obviously.
United... Obviously.

You would have to win a few more championships to be compared to United.

Sunderland
Although they’re a ways back from the big leagues. Like LSU.

And none could be from recent history

Are you a Ted Lasso fan? Lovable losers with an electric atmosphere with a first time manager and a young, fast team showing life for the first time.
Doesnt that sound more fun than jumping on a powerhouse from the start? Thats not just Lasso's AFC Richmond, thats also the current story for Crystal Palace.
Ted Lasso's team, AFC Richmond, home games are filmed at Selhurst Park (Crystal Palace's actual home field), the Red & Blue color scheme for Ted's team are actually Crystal Palace's colors, and both teams are located in South London. So you'd basically be cheering for the IRL version of AFC Richmond.
Crystal Palace history: called up to the top league only 7-8 years ago. Highest finish in that time has been 10th. They typically finish around 14th-15th.
Current Season: First year manager changed their philosophy from a slow, plodding team to a fast pace, push the pace team. They basically did a major roster overhaul and brought in a bunch of young, high enegy players. Currently 10th. Only two losses so far (to Chelsea & Liverpool, two of the top three teams in the standings). But a whole bunch of draws (Ted Lasso season 2?). Young, fast team makes them one of the funnest teams to watch this season. And the home crowd is loud & electric.
They've played 12 matches so far this season and have already played 10 of the top 12 teams in the current standings or something crazy like that. So these next couple of months against the lower half of the table should tell us where Palace really stands. Could be the start of something fun or just another pipe dream that crashes & burns.
Plus this board largely ignores Crystal Palace. If I want to start more Palace threads in the future, I'll need backup.
Edit: And this post has nothing to do with LSU

Selhurst Park may be my favorite ground in the Prem.

I thought AFC Richmond was in west London for some reason.

I could have made that part up.
Richmond itself is southwest London IRL.

I did enjoy your impassioned Crystal palace spiel. Hard not to notice the similarities. I was wondering if they had used the stadium for the show so I appreciate you sharing that tidbit

I started watching football in 2013, so this is the first bandwagon I jumped on. Imagine hiring Alan Pardew to avoid relegation, then having to fire him to avoid relegation by hiring the Goddamn Batman of avoiding relegation (Sam Allardyce) and beat Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, to beat it comfortably. Then he leaves to go manage England for like a month before he loses that job in controversy.
The cheerleaders are a bit butterface, but I figure that’s 8/10 in England.

Recently the LSU trainwreck resembles the ManU shite show, so that might be comfortable for you.
I would say Chelsea kind of resembles LSU's success in the past two decades. They had a renaissance when Abramovich took over in 2003 and have won 5 league titles since then.

My first exposure to palace was Gabor Kiraly’s sweatpants

Bouncing between Championship teams and mid table?
That’s Auburn in a nutshell.
The more I think about it, Arsenal was a great comparison for LSU. Webber was a well known coach with a boring, defensive game. They had a legendary season, and their fanbase hates the team.
