Lol no it doesn’t. You are a beta fool. I guess a big truck scares you.

When you're moving heavy loads around for work or recreation you quickly realize the safety factor of having the 25-3500 series truck.

I never really tow anything with mine, but bet your arse I've squatted previous 1500s with loads that get close to the payload capacity. I bought my 2500 specifically because I like to haul 1500-2000lbs loads 4 hours for my personal use all the time and the payload capacity for my truck is right at 3,000lbs. 17,000lbs towing.

What I don't get is questioning what others drive. Who the frick cares. You do you and leave us alone.

Why do you care? You aren’t forced to buy one.

I feel the exact same way about compact cars, EVs, near empty metro transit busses. Vehicles that haul nothing, pull nothing, and clearly couldn’t if they had to.

Even crazier is all the 5 passenger cars driving down the road with only a single person in it. We are talking FIVE passenger vehicles folks!!!

Now I am even seeing 8 passenger SUVs as well, clearly only carrying one person. No groceries, no end tables, no nothing!

And don't get me started on city busses.

One is a full size, heavy duty crew cab and the other is a compact, single cab…of course one is going to be much larger than the other. They are different classifications. Poor example, if this is actually a theory.

Size of truck is directly correlated with the level of insecurity featured by the owner.

The one byproduct of the huge truck era is an abundance of people who refuse to learn how to park them. It's so annoying.

Compact trucks now are approx as big as the full version about 20 years ago. Talking Colorado v. Sierra.

I wish they had done this b/c it would be more eye-opening:

I'm comfortable with my micro penis so I'll come in defense of the modern gigantic pickup truck. I would have a mega cab long bed if they made one. More space and more capability is a good thing.

With a modern 4 door long bed one ton, you can very comfortably take 4 man cross country hunting trips. You can bring your wife and kids fishing or camping and have plenty of room for them and all their shite. You can quit borrowing your neighbors truck when you need a bed slam full of limestone to do your wife's landscaping project.

The list of positives goes on and on and on. The only negatives are paying for it and parking it.

I really don’t care I like my 2022 Nissan Frontier 4x4 for local driving around town.

Got two smaller boats a 18ft aluminum crestliner with 115hp and little 15ft aluminum boat.
Just don’t need a big truck anymore as I do not haul, tow, or drive as much anymore.

Prices on trucks in 2021 made me look into how I drive daily and what do I use my truck for.

I'll compare truck to truck.

I had a 95 Ford Ranger with the extended cab that I lost to the floodwaters of Katrina and replaced it with a full size Chevy Silverado.

A friend just bought a new 22 Ford Ranger and when I saw it first hand, I was amazed at how much larger it was than the older model Ranger I had up to 2005.

Not only that, but it was decked out with tons of options and upgrades. Larger body overall, bigger motor, larger interior space, etc.

Of course, it also had a much larger price tag. If I remember right, I paid something like $10K for the 95 new off the showroom floor. My buddy didn't say what he paid, but if going by current P/U pricing and what that truck has in it, I'd say over $30K out the door.

Mid-sized truck buyer here.

I’ve had four mid-sized trucks since the 90’s. My current ride is a Tacoma 4x4. I’m a professional guy who lives in a subdivision and have a small vacation home 100 miles away. I’ve never needed a larger truck than I currently drive. Not one time have I ever not had enough truck to get whatever job it have done.

If you have heavy hauling or towing to do then more power to you. Buy the big boy and enjoy yourself. I’m all for it.

I just don’t think overbuying trucks is a wise financial decision.

If you’re gonna compare at least use 2 similar models

I used to have a 72 Chevy. I’d say full size GM trucks have changed the most.

Yep, picture #2 comparing the older and newer Ranger. Big difference in size.
