Serious Rittenhouse BLM ‘protest’ question

And I really am asking out of ignorance.
Was this a protest or a riot? Was private property being destroyed? What distinguishes between a protest or a riot?
If it was a riot and there was destruction of private property isn’t that what Martial Law is about?
Didn’t looters and rioters used to get shot for this type of activity?
Serious question on my part and maybe people much more knowledgeable about this can help me out. I really do plead ignorance.

It was a mostly peaceful riot

It was" peaceful," so it couldn't have been a riot.

According to the media: who is doing it.

Unfortunately this is now 100% true

according to the Wikipedia article titled “Kenosha Unrest” there was $2 million in city owned property damage and up to $50 million in private property damage done.
Doesn’t sound like a protest to me.

I am pretty sure everyone in the KR case is white. Why would BLM be interested in this?

BLM and Antifa were “protesting” the justified police shooting of Jacob Blake. So the media spun it as KR was a white supremacist out there shooting BLM and supporters. Even the current president put out a video labeling KR as a white supremacist.

The MSM’s narrative

you would think BLM would support white people shooting white people

Kyle killed two Black Lives Matter protesters.
And if Kyle was black, things would be different.
This is what I have heard yesterday and this morning so far on news headlines

Watch the actual trial and then watch either CNN or MSNBC or whoever and tell me if it is even remotely covering the facts or making them up. It is beyond infuriating at this point and you really see it when you know the real story and then hear the spin

The source reporting it.

The only reason why they keep saying a BLM protest is because they want idiots to think the 3 people he shot were black. And it's worked. Guarantee you if you did a poll you would get 80% who thought Rittenhouse was a racist who shot 3 black unarmed people.

One of the worst things about Thomas Binger (and there are so many things to hate about him) is that he not only knows there will be riots over the verdict, but he is perfectly ok with it happening. He may even join in if he can find someone to bang his wife for him later

It was both. Some were there to protest, some were there to riot. The breakdown of each depends on the agenda of the person making the breakdown.
