Lincoln Riley Situation

Think about it, boys. Lincoln Riley's name has been low-key out there for a few weeks now.
Lots of smoke about Riley's mysterious absence from the presser at Oklahoma.
All of a sudden, some of the top names in media are starting to talk about it being legit.
Here's what I think:
I think the LSU pilot who said he was going back-and-forth to Norman, Oklahoma because of family was lying on Jordy Culotta's show. I think it absolutely had to do with Lincoln Riley. I think he was was using the family excuse to run cover for Scott Woodward and Riley's handlers. And I'm 100% with that, if true.
I think Riley has realized that he's hit the ceiling at Oklahoma – especially now that they're moving into the SEC which is much more difficult than the Big 12.
Scott Woodward and the LSU boosters are willing to double his salary, let him hire whoever he wants as assistants (and for those of you who don't know, Oklahoma is notorious for not paying assistant coaches, which is a big part of why Lincoln Riley has had difficulty on defense in my opinion.)
Woodward has probably told him that he will give him complete autonomy over the football program in the same way Alabama has done for Nick Saban.
I think there's a much greater chance than not Lincoln Riley is announced as the next head coach at LSU soon.

If i'm being honest, you are likely either right or may be wrong. We'll see.

I think this is all truth.
Riley is the guy and always has been the guy
Woodward ain’t playin

Riley might be the guy, but i do know it to be the truth that sadler does have kids in norman. now, he could have totally been the go between, there was a go between with jimbo back in 2015, one of his local hunting buddies.

I'm not sure why Luginbill would say this if he didn't feel there was something to it. He'd have nothing to gain from looking like just another arse spreading rumors....

TBL made posts back during the first week of October (10+ days before O was let go) that he's heard internally that Woodward and the higher ups want Riley.
This all may have been in the works for a while.

IF it’s true, it’s pretty obvious the AD is doing everything they can to keep it under wraps. From the BR media downplaying the possibility, to the sauces here being vague and saying Riley is unlikely.

Is it possible for someone to identify the pilot for me?

go look through Jordys podcast from last wee, his name is in there

Woody has made home run hires everywhere he’s been. I would be absolutely shocked if he didn’t get his guy. If Riley is who he wanted I have complete faith he gets deal done.

Been telling some people this for weeks. The SEC move for Oklahoma never made sense to me. They almost have an auto bid every year to the playoffs, why leave to go to the most competitive division in football? Riley sees the writing on the wall. Not to mention the recruiting advantage he could have with LA talent. Although I’m biased, it seems pretty obvious the trajectory of OU and LSU once OU and Texas join the SEC.

He’s making 7.5
We are offering 15?

I believe the pilot's name is Chris Sadler, but I couldn't find anything about him via google search.
I could be super wrong.

But what specifically is going on at OU that he’s referencing? I’d like to know more about that before we start jumping to conclusions about Riley to LSU.

Let me get this straight:
Businesses around the country can close complicated multi-party business transactions electronically, but LSU (not in Norman) needs to send an AD (also not in Norman) to Norman to negotiate a coach's contract with an agent (also not in Norman) and to obtain an actual signature? Doesnt make a whole lot of sense.
