You are a public servant. I should easily be able to get the answers I need and get a hold of the right people. They should dock pay of city employees based off response time and effectiveness of response.

It’s nearly impossible to fire these people once they’re hired by the Government

I sell to local governments. It can be absolutely ridiculous.

Close on a deal and this lady is out this week, next, gets back Monday before thanksgiving, then out Tuesday-Sunday.

Who the hell is gone for 3 weeks straight in November? Lol

Who are you trying to contact, in what city, in a city agency, on a Friday after lunch?

Which city?

If it's Baton Rouge or New Orleans, you'd be lucky to find one who can read and write.

Why just city employees? Why not dock anyone's pay that you can't get hold of?

Let me clue you in.

#1, they see your calls, they just ignore you.
If you want to actually get your calls answered you have to know the right people to call, and be someone they recognize. Sure, it’s bullshite, but I don’t make the rules.

Working with city workers you’ll learn that if you aren’t at the very least cordial, you ain’t getting shite done.

If you do luck out and get someone, especially if they are a woman, blow smoke up their arse. Compliment them, ask them how their day is, just be charming as frick.

You don’t have to like the gatekeepers, but you have to realize that they are the gatekeepers and hold the keys to the next level. I can’t tell you how much red tape I have cut through by just making the person on the other end of the line feel good. This applies to women.

Now men, which you’ll more likely encounter in the field, you go in like you are talking football with dudes at the bar. Crack jokes, ease tension, nothing is ever gonna be their fault, it’s the higher ups. Understand that and you’ll get the right numbers and off the record shite to actually accomplish stuff.

Accept the world as it is, not as how you think it should be, because you aren’t changing shite today anyway.

because I don't how your company works but if my boss got a call that I wasn't returning emails or calls I don't think I would be working there anymore.

Every government employee should be required to wear a body camera. The video should be instantly uploaded to a publicly accessible server that can be accessed at any time.
