The big issue is that there literally aren’t enough trucks to satisfy the demand because of the supply chain issue facing automotive manufacturers. They need to allow the OEMs to go to the front of the line for chips etc because all other supply chain issues are compounded exponentially if there is a lack of trucks/parts.

The gist of this post is to say the free market
is not good for America. A centrally run economy
operated by a guy that could not make money running a casino would be better.

What free market are you talking about? The one that was shut down by the government in the name of public health? It’s a little late for that.

Local grocery stores are starting pay at $17.50 an hour. Inflation will worsen too. Its going to get very nasty.

Yet, people still prefer to ride the Government benefits train with the scraps they're given.

I've always said if I had no family or responsibilities I'd be a truck driver. I love driving and it would be a sweet gig and a way to see the country.

He’s fricked everything up so quick. This country needs help badly. Or else I don’t think it makes it to 2023. A revolution is going to occur

It was my very first question when the lockdowns started: what are we going to do about the supply lines, because if they’re disrupted they will collapse and millions are going to starve to death? But I was told don’t worry about it and it will work itself out. Sorry if people with a three digit IQ thought this through and are now telling you “I told you so.”

my company just matched our best year ever in the middle of September and my boss has made it clear that we are pushing incredibly hard all the way into the week before Christmas and there will be 0 coasting. i love my job and i'm very well compensated so i'm good with it, but i understand the concept of "F it" in today's climate for a lot of these people.

I’m making more money than ever as well, but it’s not good for the people at large when I’m making a killing. Things tend to be pretty bad whenever my industry is experiencing record highs, and it’s by design.

That’s pretty much it though. All we need to do is put gas pumpers back in business and we don’t have to worry about a trucking strike ever again. They make a decent amount of cash while those three (plus gas pumpers) don’t, and they can be run into the night without the driver falling asleep.

Let’s be clear:

COVID did not cause the supply chain crisis. Governments behaving tyrannically shutting down businesses and enacting lockdowns in response to Chinese propaganda (remember the guy convulsing in the streets in China, LMAO) is what caused the supply chain crisis.
