Honestly glad that Cincy isn’t in the top 4. Those guys are scheduling FCS opponents and nearly throwing games against 1-win teams. Sure they played their @sses off at Notre dame but that’s not consistent with the rest of their season.

lol those are P5 teams not G5 teams. G5 has a lower standard of games within the conference so they can’t afford to play FCS teams if they want playoff chances

That ranking is a travesty, and every fan knows it.
The committee is making it clear that under no circumstances will Cincinnati get a playoff spot. This is something every fan has suspected for a long time. The CFB Playoff is nothing more than an invitational. It's worse than the BCS system it replaced, and offers zero path to a championship for G5 teams who might as well not even try.
They either need to split off from the G5 or change the playoff ranking system, expand the field, or give an automatic birth to an undefeated G5 conference champ to make this system legitimate. G5 teams have no path to the championship and zero ability to "prove it on the field" no matter whom they beat OOC (not that the major programs have any incentive to schedule them), and thus cannot earn a shot at the playoff even by winning every game they play.
It's a rigged system that must be dismantled.

You damn well know even if Cincy played a full slate of FBS opponents they wouldn't be in the Top 4 right now.
All this BS talk of how much the regular season matters, yet you have 3 one loss teams ahead of undefeated Cincy. Bama is being propped up with a bunch of SEC teams in the Top 20 (lmao at 5-3 Miss State at #17).
These rankings are a joke.

Cincinnati played 1 FCS team this year which would be an absolute joke of an excuse as to why they’re outside of the top 4.

Been saying this since the first year when both Baylor and TCU were more deserving than Ohio State but got left out - a bad decision which many people wrongly claim was “justified” after OSU won.
2018 was the same with Alabama - there was no justification for taking Alabama over Auburn who beat them head to head two weeks earlier. Before anyone says that I’m crazy for suggesting Auburn belonged in the playoff, I’m not saying they did. That further illustrates my point.

Agree with they meant it. Disagree with the Why.
They want an expanded playoff for more money. Keeping a 13-0 team off will do that. Including them will not.

yeah i do know damn well they wouldn’t be in the top 4 because they’re a G5 team and they don’t deserve it. the playoff is the best of the best and we can’t have itty bitty schools like that thinking they’re in contention for national championships because they beat a bunch of no-names. Every time someone mentions cincy to me i just say “who?”

Until Boise State beat Oklahoma. Until utah beat Alabama and Pittsburgh, Until UCF beat Auburn. Your thinking is flawed and ignorant as hell. Cincy has proven themselves and deserves to #4 and at absolute worst, #5 looking in.
