When Texas eventually makes it back (and they will), it will have a catastrophic effect on ATM's recruiting, just as it always has.

umm OSU possibly the number 1 job in the country has to settle on its OC. had to settle for jim tressel and had to have an intern for a year.

OU had to go to its OC.

UGA, up there with OSU in terms of jobs, had to go to a DC

point is....timing is everything and Top 10 coaches rarely and i mean rarely leave thier current positions.

No one comes comes to Tigerdroppings as an LSU fan, and immediately finds the CCB and only posts there. Plus all your posts are about how Jimbo isn't coming to LSU.

Your "shared" account was from Ft. Worth, and this new account says Houston. You're not an LSU fan. You're trying to crap on the thought of LSU taking Jimbo from A&M. It's way too obvious.

LR was hired with the express intent that he take over as HC at OU. Bob left when he did so that OU could keep him. OU didn’t have to go to their OC, they wanted him and no one else as their HC. And he will remain HC at OU until he wants an NFL job.

in person interviews are done at airport lounges at major airports because it's inconspicuous and the people around you are either high powered business people who know how it is or people who just can't pick out, say, Dabo Swinney in a crowd.

These people dont travel commercial airlines and visit airport lounges... they travel private jets and might meet on a tarmac somewhere.

I don't understand why this board struggles so hard with the concept of accepting a job and not starting immediately. Losing early signing day could make Woodward reconsider the offer for anybody, but there is zero reason why everything but the lawyers signing on the dotted line couldn't have been done 5 weeks ago even if they don't start until February.

Because it is an ethical coffin nail. The fact of negotiatibg a contract even by proxy while still coaching another team is breach and could open both parties to litigation.

I don’t know where you are getting this from. But for now I am only posting on this account until the news of LSUs next Head coach is revealed. You can confirm that with the owner of this site if you must.

As far as me being an A&M fan, I am not. This is the first time I have brought anything up regarding them. You can check post history for that I’m sure.

Have a good day.

Serious question, how does any coach ever switch jobs? Have you ever switched jobs? This is not correct. It is a breach of your employment agreement, most likely, to work for somebody else while employed but not at all to negotiate with a prospective employer.

The main person responsible for bringing him to OU is former AD Donnie Duncan (rip). It was an orchestrated plan. The initials D.D. can be seen on Lincoln’s visor during games. One of Lincoln’s mentors. Probably more so than Leach.

Obviously they don't fly commercial, I never said anything about commercial, but they still meet in airport lounges. Why would you spend hours on a tarmac when you can do the interview with basic refreshments readily available in a place that is relatively quiet and nobody will notice or care that you're there? A private jet from Baton Rouge and Norman going to Atlanta is known as a day that ends in y. Atlanta isn't the only airport where it happens, but it's usually Atlanta because it's US based and the biggest airport in the country with a bunch of Delta lounges so you can hide from people who know this is how it's done. Hell, they might have even moved to FBOs by now because they're even more exclusive, but that's not really the point. The point is that you go someplace where it makes sense for a private jet to be and do the interview there. Baton Rouge to Norman or vice versa tells the entire world what's going on.

Maybe in theory but in practice everybody does. My job is way less important to an organization than head football coach and it's at least a 2 month process. Tenure track jobs at the same organization will take the better part of a year. Meanwhile in reality we see that coaches get hired in late November and Early December almost universally. Almost like they were just processing paperwork and both parties knew who their guy was before the end of the season.
