Thought Trevor Simian played a great game. Drew Brees's first game was against the Browns in 2006. He went 16-30, 170 YDS, 1 TD, 1 INT. Trevor Simian stats in his first game as a Saint: 16-29, 159 YDS, 1 TD, 0 INT.

He's off to a better start than Drew Brees as a Saint. I don't see the need to trade for another QB. Especially with MT coming back soon and having Ingram, we are in a very good spot. We may have found our new franchise player.

Maybe it because he has not had practice reps but what I saw is him staring down receivers and only throwing once the receivers are open. He never threw a pass to a receiver breaking open and thus the reason for his sacks and throwaways.

He actually threw a terrible interception that was negated by a penalty.

We aren’t winning many games with him as our QB

It’s actually wrong.

He functioned which was a nice surprise. Perhaps with some dedicated practice he would be able to actually make more plays and be a decent starter.

THAT’S the optimistic view.

He’s just so limited physically. And with our WR and TE groups, that’s just not gonna play. Hell, a big part of our offense has been Jameis 1st downs on 3rd and longs. Siemian can’t do that, and his arm is worse than Drew’s the last couple years. He can come in and finish a game like yesterday, but his physical ability just doesn’t play long-term.

We may be a bette team with Seimian over Taysom. But that’s not based on yesterday.

Trevor performed magnificently for his situation, he stood in the pocket, looked and threw the ball away when he had to and that’s a good stat line to back it up. Yeah the interception that was negated but I’m sure he was aware of what was happening. But it’ll be the new dome patrol this season that’s the reason to buy a ticket.

His throwaways saved the game. Incredible job avoiding disasters when free rushers came.

He's already great at vexing Saints fans' spelling abilities.
