re: I can't get behind Trevor Franchise

That's exactly what I'm saying. What Sean can do is severely handicapped if his QB is below average. This isn't that controversial, TS has a body of work that is mediocre/below average.
You need to open your eyes as to what happened last game. He literally beat the best QB of all time yesterday and beat the reigning SB champions. He literally was eating a dome dog on the sidelines two minutes before Jameis got hurt. You're either a true Saints fan or you're not.

Why I think Trevor earned the job this weekend

Thought Trevor Simian played a great game. Drew Brees's first game was against the Browns in 2006. He went 16-30, 170 YDS, 1 TD, 1 INT. Trevor Simian stats in his first game as a Saint: 16-29, 159 YDS, 1 TD, 0 INT.
He's off to a better start than Drew Brees as a Saint. I don't see the need to trade for another QB. Especially with MT coming back soon and having Ingram, we are in a very good spot. We may have found our new franchise player.

Potential Head Coach sighting in Baton Rouge (It's happening)
Posted by OTB OT on 10/20/21 at 9:07 am
A couple of my colleagues ate at Mike Anderson's last night and saw the man with all the "buzz" around town. They were alerted to his table when a heaping mound of crawfish was delivered to his table, (i.e. the famous recruiting maneuver). The Texans' advisor looked like he was "enjoying himself." Our AD knows how to have a great time. When wrapping up their business dinner, my colleagues asked RC what he was doing here, and he said "just bought my house on the LSU lakes and a car from Gerry Lane Chevrolet, I love Baton Rouge."
Folks, the Crennel train is leaving the station. ALL ABOARD!

Baton Rouge - Very Interesting Airport News

There has been an absurd about of flights from Baton Rouge to Houston in the past couple of days. This is not normal, and all indicators are pointing to it being related to our coaching search. People at my office have been saying Jimbo is at his house on the Galveston beach this week. Also, Fickell's wife's family is from the Woodlands (suburb outside of HOU). Then there is Romeo Crennel who is at the Texans, which has gained a lot of traction in the past few days. Hearing he wants out of the Texans and I don't blame him. He is very familiar with south LA from his friendship with the Mannings, which could help us with Arch. These three being in Houston bodes very well for us as all of them being great candidates. Very interesting considering Houston is the biggest, easiest hub for us to meet up with potential candidates.

Who the hell have you been talking to that’s saying Romeo Crennel? literally nobody has said that name until this thread. Maybe the dumbest name mentioned thus far
The word downtown and around the station are gravitating towards him. To be honest, I wasn't too keen on this idea and first but I've looked him up and am warming up to it. Just reporting on what I'm hearing.

Top of my list of hires to make me start drinking on Sunday mornings….early.
One of my buddies works for TAF and says he is pursuing the openning pretty hard.
My choices are Franklin or Crennel. Preferably the ladder. Really like what's he done during his time during interim coach. Been hearing his name a lot around town today.
Had the same reaction as y'all at first. But he has grown on me
Been hearing a lot "buzz" about Romeo Crennel
Posted by OTB OT on 10/18/21 at 9:15 am
What is up with all of this Crennel buzz? Heard this at my work this morning, as all of my colleagues were throwing his name into the mix. Never really heard of the guy, so I looked him up. I am really starting to understand this buzz and get behind this idea of him coming to Baton Rouge. Didn't realize he was that instrumental in developing JJ Watt in Houston. Has great NFL experience, and could bring some top level NFL OC to come here. Really didn't like the idea at first, but really warming up to the reality of him coming to Baton Rouge as this idea gains more traction around the town.

"I thought Durante called a great game. Peetz really stuck with our commitment to run the football. We had the best single rushing performance in LSU history with Ty-Davis. Gonna look at film, get better, and oil up the machine that is the offensive line."

I like Troy Baglio and J.T. Curtis, but never heard of Jarrot.
re: Was dropping “one team one heartbeat” the beginning of the end for O?

I always thought it was a knockoff of the Raisin Canes "One Love" slogan
quote:
He's using Peetz as an analog for Orgeron...and pointing out how dumb that hire was.
Not everyone can understand that though. Only for the scholars to figure out in 100 years.
Are people writing off Durante and Co. as potential candidates?
Posted by OTB OT on 10/17/21 at 9:20 pm
Peetz. I'm sure he is trying to throw his hat into the ring right now, and I don't blame him. After yesterday's performance, its easy to see why. He really got the offense going this past week and has engineered the gameplan that yielded the best single rushing performance in LSU history (TDP). Since we are trending in the upward direction, Peetz would have an easy time carrying over his momentum into next year with O out of the way. Also, his promotion could lure Joe Brady back into Baton Rouge as the new offensive coordinator. The best programs promote from within.

The ADMINS on this board need to clean this shite up. CHICKEN needs to come up with a better vetting process to not cloud the board with shite posts.
And NO, to JF.
So go ahead and censor every thread that you don't like? I bet you're against cancel culture too. Irony...

Yup. In the last three days, OTB OT started a thread about why Orgeron shouldn't be fired, another one about whether Kiffin should bring his QB with him when he leaves Ole Miss for LSU, and now this dud.
Stupid alters do stupid alter things.
and who are you? Sorry I didn't meet your standard for a quality post
Jimbo Fisher to LSU?
Posted by OTB OT on 10/15/21 at 1:41 pm
Do y'all think we could lure him away from A&M? Woodward hired him once already, so they have already established that relationship. Jimbo favors LSU over A&M. He would have came here if we didn't hire Orgeron over him. I feel like if we line his pockets with enough coin, he will want to come back here and coach. They beat Alabama this year, while we have only beat Alabama once in the last 16 years. I also think he would keep O on the staff because of recruiting advantages. What do y'all think? :geauxtigers:

He's too busy blocking out the noise this week. Scheming up a great game plan with Durante and Peetz.
