I think part of the 'cool factor' has been lost because there are more on the road now. I think the early cars still carry some of the reputation of cool by the attention they get when seen on the road.

Friend of mine had a 300 convertible. Constant headaches. Had a tire that kept deflating…after god knows how many service trips turned out to be an issue with the rim.
Had to take the front tire off to replace a headlight.
Couldn’t rotate the tires because the front and back were different sizes.
shite cost him a fortune.

Mechanic cleared the drains, checked the windshield seal, sprayed it down with water, no leak. Took it home, next time it rained, leaked again.

I’m 69 and have a 2010 Vette, however I usually drive the grocery getter, Yukon, or old 97 Tacoma 4x4. I also have the gray hair…….
