My son requested one of her pies a while back. It was delicious. I think it is called candy bar pie.
First you melt some Snickers.....how could that be bad?

Depends on what types of cuisine interests you most.
I have an extremely extensive cookbook collection, but it's mostly centered around 2-3 specific types of cooking.

To be honest I'm interested in just about any type of cuisine
I'm usually just looking for new ideas so I can create my own dishes

www.nomenu.com is Tom Fitzmorris
www.neworleans.com and go to forums. Great food board there as well. I've been on both for years.

Martini, have you been to neworleans.com lately. It sucks. The owners and admins have run it into the ground and now they've lost so many of the valuable posters that it hasn't come back to what it was several years ago, when it was quite worthy of reading. neworleanseats.com is much better, though it's been slow as well. Not going back to no.com. The essence fest board is about the only one with many posts.

Yeah I haven't been in awhile. Popped in a few weeks ago and it has died. I still read Fitz's board. I'll try the other one. That was why I didn't take the time to link, just gave the address. Wonder if the brfoodie on this board is the same one from no.com?

Well, I was wondering the same thing, myself. I don't think so, though. The brf here is far too mild.
I forgot about Fitz's new board. All of them, but this one have been so slow, that I hardly drop in. nola.com went a few days with no posts at all, but that's been slow since they stopped that silly "what if" forum. They all got along until the main poster gets in a big old tiff and departed. Lake's forum, well...it's Lake's forum is all I can say. Haven't bothered with that one in a good while either. They're all going downhill.

My two favorites sites were already mentioned (allrecipes, recipezaar) so I'll share these:
This is the first page (of 3) of special recipes. I just ignore the cookbook and radio stuff.

The other 2 pages linked here at his homepage.
(NOTE: This is where I found the recipe for Hudson's Maurice Salad, Mmmmmm)
If you have a few days to look, you can peruse Uncle Phaedrus. Quite interesting.

Some great New Orleans dished here:

And some copy cat recipes (so so site):

I adore dim sum (have not tried these yet):
