Grady wants his lackey in place as a consulatant to the board. That way developments keep getting rubber stamped despite drainage issues.
Some board members are against that idea for some reason.

So wait... the drainage district board is the same as the parish council, minus the west bank rep? And the parish president was also the CEO of the drainage district? Until he got fired as CEO, but he is still parish president?
This is almost as stupid as the S&WB. Why not just have the parish directly run the drainage system?
Also... not to be a snob... but any public body meeting should require the men to wear a suit. Have some damn respect.

So the crux of this is the Board, that is elected to handle things, can't do their jobs. So they want to pay a guy $50,000 taxpayer dollars to do their jobs for them? Sounds about like government. frick all that.
