That is A&M, a program with one conference championship in 30 years.

LSU is better than this.

There are lots of arguments against. I don’t think FSU or aTm are exact comparisons. We’re handing him a great Qb room

I’ll admit I’m not the AD for a reason. I do think if Les and Ed can win a Natty then Jimbo can crush it here.

This is really the truth of it all.

His problems at FSU was his ability to get a decent OL. And being stuck with Andrews.... then not being able to maintain a championship defense.
To be fair, the administration never gave him the money or tools to compete at the highest level, which is why he bailed.

aTm doesn't have the brand to get the A+ talent like LSU/Bama does. So, he'll always be 3rd wheel no matter how good he is.

But what noone can argue is his ability to develop a QB.
Auburn:
Pat Nix at Auburn - Graduated with school's career passing efficiency record.
Dameyune Craig - Lost to Manning in Atalanta 30-29.

LSU: Rohan, Mauck, Randall, Russell, Flynn

FSU: Ponder, Manuel, Winston

aTm: Mond

1st Round Draft Qbs: Russell, Manuel, Ponder, Winston
All busts, but he made them look good enough in college to fool NFL teams... with 2 first overall picks.

What worries me is that LSU seems to have an OL problem over the last 10 years or so. And Fisher doesn't really help that.
But QBs playing well can overcome alot.
I'm not sold one way or the other on Jimbo.

Jimbo would be such a meh hire. He has a lot of tools to work with at ATM and isn't exactly lighting the world on fire.

look at where they were before and now... I dont like his offense but the man turned Aggie around into a respectable program... thats alot...

To be fair, he developed Calzada into a qb that can beat Bama.

Not my choice. But, that is true.
To be fair the very next week that same QB completes 52% throws for 148 and averages 5.9 ypa vs a Mizzu team that just gave up 305 yards and 4 TDs at 11.4 ypa vs North Texas.

We have a QB that is 20-4 TD/Int with over 1700 yards passing at this point during the season w/o him. So it's possible without him as well. I'm not against him, but this was a bigger concern before seeing the production we're getting right now. We just need someone who will pass enough for top QBs to want to be here and also provide an equally effective running game.

He’s really just now working with one of his own QBs. He brought Monde as far as possible, but now he’s working with his own QB recruits: a backup QB whom he just lead to a win over Bama.

LSU would be a vast improvement for Jimbo. Jimbo would be a settlement coach for LSU worse than O’s hiring. Of course O won a Natty here, so I’ll allow it.

But not happening, just as LSU pissed Jimbo off by not firing Les, Jimbo pissed LSU off by playing them for a more lucrative Aggie contract. And LSU is in a much better market for a coach this time around, while Jimbo is wearing thin on a traditionally patient A&M fan base who always thinks next year it will happen.

Jimbo is not an elite coach. He wins a game he shouldn't every 3-5 years but loses games he shouldn't routinely.

36-18 record since he's last year at FSU and his time at A&M so far. No thanks!

Yeah big time developer. King was going to suck, Calzada is still trash. See the Missouri game, can’t put touch on the ball to save his life.

Did he though? His record isn’t that much better than Sumlin.

LSU is elite, A&M is meh. Jimbo would crush it at LSU. Remember when A&M thought they were getting a good D/C in Chief? Once LSU was removed from the equation, Chief sucked!
