I was shocked to learn the other day that on the day Kurt Cobain died (April 5, 1994), he was already worth $50 million. Then, having died 13 years before with only 3 studio albums under his belt, when his song catalog was sold in 2007, the estate of Kurt Cobain was worth $450 million.

Not to say he wouldn’t have been rich because he definitely would have been, but him dying cause people to listen to their stuff continuously for decades

I can never understand how some of these people don't retire with grace. Or how they go broke.

Unless you have lived it you never will. Just because you are rich does not mean you don’t have problems, especially mental health and addiction problems. If you have never dealt with those you will never understand.

Both of those things are pretty messed up. Our economic system rewards some weird shite.

I saw Smash Mouth a few weeks ago for the first time and enjoyed it. But, I was pretty drunk.

Violent J has also had to scale back massively on touring.

Coincidence? I think not.

That’s because he’s busy with his cooking shows and taking bitches to Flavortown.

Now I've got Allstar stuck in my head and keep thinking of the Ben Stiller movie Mystery Men where this was the lead track.

Maybe not rehab, they'll just rev up the Lincoln and get to drinking some caffeino. Be right as rain after.
