Air Products (NYSE: APD) will build, own and operate the megaproject, which will produce over 750 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD) of blue hydrogen in Ascension Parish, Louisiana. "Blue" products are produced utilizing hydrocarbons as a feedstock, with the carbon dioxide (CO2) in the production process captured for permanent sequestration. The project will create 170 permanent jobs with a total annual payroll of $15.9 million and more than 2,000 construction jobs over three years. It represents Air Products' largest-ever investment in the U.S.

Does this mean injection wells?

I wonder if they will pipe the CO2 up to Mississippi. Tons of CO2 flood oil field that utilize CO2 injection wells.

Finally some good news.

So, they are going to pump the CO2 down depleted oil/gas wells.
I was at a plant site on Tuesday where there is a huge dry ice manufacturing plant going up, to use the CO2 produced. All of the dry ice is contracted to Amazon, the nation's largest consumer of dry ice

Is this one of those ones where everyone congratulated each other? Then, they have a break ground ceremony, and never do anything else?

Moar traffic through Dutchtown! Moar!
It's good news for the local economy. Just wish AP would start to build up the infrastructure to keep up with the growth, or at least plan for the expected growth instead of letting it get to be 5lbs of shite in a 10lb bag then react when everything is already a cluster frick.
