OT, what's your opinion on the best truck out there right now? I'm willing to spend approx 50-60K.

Is the AT4 that much better than the Trail Boss?
What about the 5.3/6.2?

Is the Ford 4cylinder worth purchasing, or should I always go V8?

Silverado/Sierra

Whichever styling you prefer.

AT4 and Trail Boss are about what and what. 5.3 is bulletproof, heard about some issues with transmission but I think it's on the 10 speed, I have an 8 speed with no issues.

All trucks are nice these days. But from whomever gives you the best deal.

The sad part is, for a truck that isnt WT package, you pretty much have to pay between 50-60k. Just was delivered a Silverado WT package at work. V6, plastic interior, extended cab. Sticker price, $47k

Any of the new F150s with the 3.5 Twin Turbo are very nice.

I guess my second question would be if I go with Trail Boss, is the LT version worth the extra 10K or should I just go with the Custom TB?

The good news is it's a buyer's market right now, friend. At your budget, you'll have the pick of the lot.

I have an old 7.3 that will outlast all of this new shite I’d take $60k for.

I purchased the 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali with the diesel and have zero regrets. It has plenty of power, great fuel economy (22/26) and it is like driving in my recliner.

What are you going to use it for? Makes a difference on what you buy.

Daily driver. I was in a bad car accident with a big rig, so anything small just bothers me to ride in.

This is literally the worst time in the history of the motor vehicle to buy a truck. Good luck. Maybe they'll come down to MSRP for you.

I wouldn't say the AT4 is better than the trail boss but it looks 1000x better. Also you wont get a AT4 for 60k but you can get the trail boss in the 50k price range. I wanted the AT4 and went to the dealership to get one and ended up getting a Denali for about 8k cheaper than the AT4 they happened to be running a special on.
