The Battle of Lepanto.
This was one of the largest naval battles in history as well as one of the most important actions in all of European history. In 1571, while Protestants were attempting to tear apart Europe, the Holy League under Pope Pius V was attempting to save it from an Islamic takeover via the Ottoman Turks. The battle itself turned out to be a decisive victory for the Holy League - whose two main coalition members (the Spanish Empire and the Venetian Republic) provided the lion's share of military hardware.
As Wikipedia states:

As Wikipedia states:
quote:
The victory of the Holy League is of great importance in the history of Europe and of the Ottoman Empire, marking the turning-point of Ottoman military expansion into the Mediterranean, although the Ottoman wars in Europe would continue for another century. It has long been compared to the Battle of Salamis, both for tactical parallels and for its crucial importance in the defense of Europe against imperial expansion. It was also of great symbolic importance in a period when Europe was torn by its own wars of religion following the Protestant Reformation. Pope Pius V instituted the feast of Our Lady of Victory, and Philip II of Spain used the victory to strengthen his position as the "Most Catholic King" and defender of Christendom against Muslim incursion.
Historian Paul K. Davis writes that,
"More than a military victory, Lepanto was a moral one. For decades, the Ottoman Turks had terrified Europe, and the victories of Suleiman the Magnificent caused Christian Europe serious concern. The defeat at Lepanto further exemplified the rapid deterioration of Ottoman might under Selim II, and Christians rejoiced at this setback for the Ottomans. The mystique of Ottoman power was tarnished significantly by this battle, and Christian Europe was heartened."

Wow, what an amazing battle, and they still had time to molest little boys. Impressive stuff.

When Satan starts infiltrating your church you know you've found the one God intended for you to be part of. There's a reason why scandal rarely rocks Protestantism. The Devil doesn't waste his time with frauds.

Ooh, the debil. There’s a concept that didn’t exist in Judaism until after the Babylonian Captivity. Like angels and heaven. And monotheism.
Roll Tide! Pedo.

Roll Tide! Pedo.

But seriously, let me get this straight. Your argument is that because catholic priests have a history of sinful acts, most famously raping little boys, Catholicism is the true religion?

I didn’t either, but the whole “Protestants don’t molest children, therefore Catholics are right.” take that he just rattled off was quite impressive.
Next level mental gymnastics

It's one of many arguments. However, it must be stated that this kind of action goes on in just about every church in the world. And yet the world only seems to care when it's a Catholic priest who gets caught doing it. The Enemy has anointed the Catholic Church as his foe and therefore wants it known when these kinds of scandals occur within its organization. The hope is he can cleave faithful believers from the body and convert them to atheism. Generally speaking the first action of a former Catholic turned atheist is to leave the Church for evangelical Protestantism.

This is stupid to think the catholic church is the only one responsible.
They get caught because of the extensive record keeping.
The churches are not independent like in the protestant religions. When an independent church had someone busted for nefarious reasons they are cut loose and everything is swept under the rug as if they didn't exist. No one comes to check it out and the can basically delete/burn every record of that pastor being there. The little church council can pretend it never happened and hire them a new pastor.
Then rag on Catholics as if they ate the only religion with clergy frickery going on.
Just quietly cut the pastor and move on to another one.....

Charles Manson, Jim Jones and David Koresh were all Protestants..

And another thing, assuming all this is true, what are you doing about it? Because if the answer is nothing then you are either complicit or an enabler of the monstrous evil that reaches all levels of the leadership of your church. Which, by the way, you support physically and financially. Unless you’re some broke arse. Get behind me Satan! Roll Tide!

Gracious, Benevolent, Kind, and Tender Lord-
This day please deliver unto us Thy enemy that to them we may maim, eviscerate, massacre, humiliate, hew down, torture, taunt, torment, cause extreme discomfort, and agonize.
And if there is anything else that Thou wishes us to do to them in a similar fashion, please make it known to us, Thy humble instruments of Thy will on Earth.
