Why get Arch if you can’t get a line to protect him and support the run game?

They're also saying "LSU never lands top QB's"

LSU currently has the #1 QB in the country committed.

So great.

UGA doesn't throw it nearly enough. Alabama's gonna get Arch.

Good history of putting QBs in the NFL. Their offense is dynamic and they have 5* linemen to protect Arch, and they always have a running game to open up the pass.

Oh, and sick 5* receivers all over the field. And they win championships.

There's a solid search criteria... Hire someone who can get a single player who may or may not be all that he's cracked up to be, when we already have QB's galore, with Howard on the way. Not that I'd turn down Arch if he somehow decided he wanted to come here, anyway, but there's no way Woodward is basing his whole search on that.

Dan Patrick's "sources" sound really bored.

If LSU is hiring a coach based on him getting 1 player, I’ve lost all hope in our AD

Maybe Cutcliff but he's not getting this job.

Arch doesn’t give a shite about David cutcliffe

At some point people will realize Archie has nothing to do with this. This isn’t 1995. Kids are so much more independent. He isn’t going to Duke or Om or Tennessee

Peyton Manning would make an epic college football coach. I don't know that he is interested in coaching but he's got every tool to be a Nick Saban.

Alabama puts terrible QB's in the NFL. He's not going there to be developed into an NFL QB. If he goes there, it's because he wants to go somewhere that he can win immediately and not have to worry about getting hit, almost ever. And maybe he'll do that. It sure isn't because Alabama is some QB factory.

I don't get the sense that the Mannings will want anything to do with Saban. They seem to rather enjoy being the big people on campus, and you can't be that at Alabama. Saban won't allow it.

Only way this happens is if Peyton Manning is the hire. Impossible.

Bama would be a huge mistake for Arch.

His best option as a QB is to go to either Clemson or Ole Miss and he’s not going there if Lane Kiffin is there

Alabama will get arch if they believe he is the best qb. Howard walker is our guy period. He is the best QB, including arch, and if we get him it will be because he is from Lafayette. I assume that he thinks he can make a difference and in my opinion he will. He is recruiting lineman around him. Just not getting both of these guys and honestly hurts our chances with Howard to entertain arch.My guess is that the Manning’s and Saban will exploit whatever they can to see Howard to Norte Dame or somewhere else if they can.
