K-9 with Livingston Parish Sheriff's Office dies after being left in officer's car

Ard said the officer responsible for Ivar was disciplined, but did not offer specifics. It is the sheriff's policy to keep disciplinary actions private and not release the names of disciplined officers unless they are charged with a crime.

That whole fricking Sheriff's office is a fricking clown show.
Between the things I've heard about the Sheriff, that piece of shite officer that's now in jail for jizzing in cupcake batter before his teacher wife cooked them and brought them to her students to eat and then leaving a dog in his fricking car.
He is disciplined.. That's bullshite. He probably gave that frick up 3 days off with pay.
Where do they find they find their officers?
Since I am sure nothing will really happen to him, I hope these morons.. at the very least, don't assign him another k9.

Yeah this. I am not one this people get all hysterical when something happens to a dog. BUT....if a normal joe forgets their dog in the car and it dies like this they would have the book thrown at them. This Cop deserves the same punishment as a regular citizen and maybe even held to a higher standard.

I take my dog with me everywhere. She stays in the truck when it’s 1000 degrees. I leave windows rolled down and dare anybody to come nearby. She is fine while I go get my groceries. This guy must have left the windows up or forgot the dog was in the vehicle. He sounds like a piece of shite either way.

The only way Ard will do something is if he takes enough heat from the media.
I understand Sheriff's will protect their officers and for the most part, you deserve that from your boss, but you don't protect them from everything.

I’ll hold off judgement until we have all sides of the story. No matter what the outcome, remember that it most likely wasn’t intentional and it’s a animal, not a human.
