What number of push ups and pull ups do you consider to be impressive.

Been working out for a few years, but never do calisthenics. I'm trying to be well rounded. 20 pull ups right now would be an amazing accomplishment.

For who?
I’m only partly joking. Haha!

I know it sounds cliché, but it’s all about the quality. On pull-ups, if you’re not dead hanging between reps and your grip is too narrow, I tend to be less impressed.
Pushups, range of motion and hand placement matter to me more than your number.

Depends.
If you’re 5’6 145 20 pull-ups isn’t that impressive
6’ 200 and that’s damn impressive

20 pull uos full range dead hang is impressive as hell no matter your size.
75-100 or close to it in 2 min without knees touching is impressive for pushups imo

20-25 full dead hang pull ups is impressive to me.
I’ve been working to get 25 for awhile. I’m at 15 good ones now. I can get 17-18 but my firm starts deteriorating.
50+ unbroken push ups would be impressive IMO
I’m probably in the 40 range for good form and then those last 10 I’d probably start cheating a bit

I'm still in the military so I do a lot of push ups. I can probably do 80 with good form in under 100 seconds.

I'm just now over 20 dead hang pullups but that's after making it a goal and spending the last year doing them almost every day. I started at 2 or something last year.

10 solid pull-ups is impressive to me. I used to be week and fat and couldn’t even imagine being able to do one. Now I’m at 6 but I’m doing that Greyskull homework finally and seeing some good progress.

20 pulls ups dead hang. I can do about 12 to 15 at my current weight, when I was about 35 lbs lighter I could 30 ~30.
Pushups, 150 or so.

Depends on what your standards are for a push up and pull up

My shoulders tend to bother me just a tad. With that in mind I moved to dumbbells and other push/pull exercises. I can do sit-ups but pull-ups are my nemesis. I do wide grip pull-ups on a cybex and offset my body weight so I can go through the full pull-up motion but with less body weight.

Its amazing how everyone - myself included - seems to ignore the Greyskull homework at first. It really is a game changer.
