Was just thinking about his work as a composer/arranger/songwriter and he could sing like Roseanne Barr and he'd still have had more of a positive impact on the music industry in the last 50 years than all but a handful of people.

Even though they were, at least briefly, the biggest group on the planet at one time, it still feels like he's underrated.

For Soul/R&B, Russel Thompkins on Betcha by Golly Wow. Actually anything Thompkins did was falsetto magic.
