"Plus tailgating on a golf course was a nice change of pace over the rv lots we're used to."

I mean, this is just frickin' too gorgeous!

How many architecture awards did this sucker win back in the day? How'd you keep the Super Bowl out of the Super Dome, and the World Cup, and Olympics finals? hmmmmm, we'll never know.

N.O. isn't nearly as disgusting as LA. The city itself is worse than a dump.

I enjoyed it except for having to exit the stadium to get concessions.

"I enjoyed it except for having to exit the stadium to get concessions."

When you (and others) say "exit the stadium".... if you exited the stadium, your day was done, there are no re-entries.

You mean actually walking thru the tunnel to get to the concourse to get concessions? Well, yeah, not sure what your 98-year old stadium with ramps, stairs and a basement looks like, but that's how stadiums work.

Yea, there are concessionaires walking the aisles too, but I doubt the Coors Light guy got more than a few rows before selling out. Double-fisted much?

I thought Bama’s gameday sucked. Or maybe I was in the wrong spot.

The atmosphere in Bryant-Denny was pretty cool though.

I took my 3 kids you fricking idiot. Tiger Stadium has plenty of concessions through the inside of the stadium. I literally had to walk down from row 68 and exit the bowl to walk outside of the stadium (however still inside the gated perimeter) just to get them food.

Look Mo you won the game. You don’t have to be a prick.

Really enjoyed it wish we would have gotten there a bit earlier and had more time to spend at the stadium. The shuttle bus from old town was seamless. Super easy getting in and out. We sat at the 50 on the west side so no issues with the sun.

Kinda funny watching a bunch of rednecks in Louisiana try to look down their noses at people living in California

Maybe it the miles is soft grass for tailgating is what you hate where kids can play a touch football game instead of the LSU parking lot.
Or maybe we didn’t have two concrete towers where you have to climb a ladder to get to. Sorry you have to enter the stadium at ground level instead of climbing stairs. Yes the first two weeks of September are hot but it’s still summer.

No kidding. Fans don‘t tailgate in the parking lot, they do in and around the campus. LSU campus golf course can open for tailgating (just 10-15 minutes walk to the Tiger Stadium) but there is never need. There are more beautiful grass fields and water around the campus. Only UCLA fans ever think they have better tailgating environment in the country. The Rose Bowl Stadium is overrated. I make this statement as a Pasadena’s resident for more than 20 years.

The Rose Bowl

I never really got it, It was always a last option to watch for me , as well as most people I know.

Any Bowl LSU went to was biggest interest

1. Sugar Bowl was Tops after that.
2. Cotton Bowl
3. Orange Bowl
4. Peach Bowl
5. Citrus, Outback, and Fiesta Bowl

If you didn’t have a good time there, that’s on you. I was there and the weather was perfect, everything was clean, orderly, and maintained, there was tons of history, and the place was crawling with tail.

10/10 would do again.

people are stupid. Just like people let their political believes affect their thinking. Like saying Cali is overrated......lets see....beautiful weather, beautiful landscape, beautiful beaches, beautiful mountains and in general much nicer everything. Also in general much classier people overall.

sure it has its issues but Cali is awesome. Everyone wants to point to homeless problem and crime.....have any of the idiots driven in BR or NOLA? Homeless and crime everywhere to the point people negative recruit against us with the stats.

I didnt get to go the Rose bowl but saying its overrated is like saying the white house is overrated. Its about the history, beautiful mountain view, perfect weather, perfect sunset etc.

you go for the same reasons you go watch the sunset on San Fransico bay over the golden gate bridge. The history, the beauty, etc.

bottom line is there is a reason the state of LA is shitty. People think its better than Cali :rotflmao:

We enjoyed our time in LA. We took politics out and enjoyed visiting different places.
1. Stayed in Santa Monica like a lot of others. Since we have been multiple times, we stayed away form the tourist areas.
2. Weather is always unbelievable.
3. Old Pasadena was nice. A little too crowded at restaurants and bars (one manager said they have a hard time getting people to work because of the extra unemployment).
4. The shuttle to and from the stadium was the way to go. They must have had a route for busses only, because it took no time to get back to our car.
5. The stadium met my expectations. I enjoyed the laid back atmosphere before the game and the scenery is second to none.
6. Game sucked, but we didn't let that ruin our trip.

I enjoy going to the LA. Most people we encountered were friendly and politics never came up. You can tell which ones not to talk to though.

Have you been to a game in Tiger Stadium, or is your pussy hurt and just want to take up for the Rose Bowl? It's not even UCLA's stadium. UCLA left the coliseum, that it shared with big brother, in what, 1982?

I've always wanted to go to the Rose Bowl...if LSU played in the Rose Bowl game. I chose not to go help outnumber UCLA fans because I want to see my team play in the bowl game. They are not the same things. It is possible that the Rose Bowl isn't modernized enough or maybe it will be a letdown for some people. Personally, I'd probably love it in it's classic state. Hope I get the chance to form my own opinion.
