Funny, that was my probably 120th game there. And I very much enjoy it every time. Especially last Saturday.

Then you must be part of the problem of lower class people in Louisiana compared to Cali.

Are you saying Louisiana is some paradise or better than Cali

Did I say that? My point is that you extrapolated an opinion on a stadium you've never been to into a diatribe against the state you live in.

Mountain views are awesome.

Having to walk out of the stadium to take a piss is not.

I'm sure you did and I don't blame you...

My take: even though the game was a disaster from my POV, I enjoyed the experience.

I do feel bad for the UCLA students who don't have the experience of an on-campus stadium.

It is an antiquated stadium and IMO could use some more modernization, but that's Pasadena's issue.

Will say it again-the shuttle bus system is first rate and made coming and going very simple.

Would I go back, only if LSU was playing on Jan 1.

:rotflmao:

bro i could make close to the same as an engineer but my wife would have to start over rebuilding her business from ground up...not worth it.

and for me and my income level, Louisiana is fine. But lets not act like we dont have a bunch of pieces of shite that we have to be around. Its why even if you live in the so called good school districts, you are better off sending to private school unless their is an exceptional AP program.

I had a great time during my 5 day trip. I can't believe anyone would say the Rose Bowl was overrated. It's definitely old but the history alone made it an awesome experience. The scenery around the facility with the mountains, etc. was beautiful.

By far the easiest entry/exit game day experience ever. The shuttle buses from the Parsons Center was so easy and efficient. We were back at the car in about 15 minutes after the game.

I was completely shocked by the homeless population and the amount of trash/litter along the freeways and streets in some areas. I knew it was going to be bad, but far worse than I expected. Almost every single freeway exit was filled with dozens of tents and trash. We stayed in Pasadena and it was very nice, same for Beverly Hills, etc. However, the rest of the city was just astounding.

The weather was amazing. Saturday was the hottest day but Sunday and Monday was glorious in Malibu and Manhattan Beach.

I found that the Cali people are over the COVID restrictions too. Many without masks and the servers in the restaurants weren't really enforcing the mandates, at least where we went.

It was a great trip and Tiger Fans were EVERYWHERE. Great turnout. Unfortunately, the team chose not to show up.

CFP Selects SoFi Stadium to Host the National Championship Game in 2023.

I think UCLA is closer to the SoFi than the Rose. Why not pick the better one?

why not pick the better one, meaning UCLA, or the CFP?

SoFi is getting a Super Bowl and the CFP championship game. Those guarantees helped finance the $3 billion stadium.

Why did UCLA choose to stay at the Rose Bowl, rather than the Chargers/Rams home stadium?

Long story, but we'd rather have our own stadium. Inglewood is closer, no doubt. Y'all complain about neighborhoods to tailgate in and golf courses / Arroyos vs. concrete parking lots? Enough said

Mr. Bigmo. Please calm down. These are just some people's opinions, not facts. You won the game. Congrats. I've lived out there years ago and have family in the area. We had a blast.

They really need to renovate it. Memorial Stadium in Baton Rouge looks nicer.

I mean, this is just frickin' too gorgeous!

How many architecture awards did this sucker win back in the day? How'd you keep the Super Bowl out of the Super Dome, and the World Cup, and Olympics finals? hmmmmm, we'll never know.

I am actually agree with most of your initial OP about our fans sounding like whiny bitches about the Rose Bowl being overrated and saying it was too hot etc.

I thought it was a great atmosphere and they actually did a really good job of keeping the energy up and playing a good mix of music and the crowd was loud the entire time.

That all being said you were way off base with bragging about a stadium that’s not even your actual stadium. You have to pay the rose bowl in the form of a yearly
lease to play in a rented stadium.

Don’t get too high on your horse you don’t actually
Have an on-campus stadium and have to drive 45 minutes across town to get to the rose bowl.

If we didn’t have a historic stadium ourselves (that’s been noted multiple times for having the best nighttime game atmosphere of any stadium in the country-
I guess we could pay the super-dome a yearly lease and play an hour away from our campus as well— then we could brag about playing in the same iconic venue that has hosted 5 Super Bowls many CFB NC not to mention final fours, nba games, mlb games, boxing matches, Pope visits etc.

You made decent points up until that point.

I took my 3 kids you fricking idiot. Tiger Stadium has plenty of concessions through the inside of the stadium. I literally had to walk down from row 68 and exit the bowl to walk outside of the stadium (however still inside the gated perimeter) just to get them food.

Look Mo you won the game. You don’t have to be a prick.

He will be shocked to know TS is 97 years old and actually has concession stands all over the place. Crazy how people enjoyed refreshments back in “the good ole days.”

Is it inevitable that the Rose Bowl game eventually moves to SoFi Stadium?
