The stadium and gameday experience, not the bowl game.

That's it, that's the post.

That stadium is all about the mountain views and history.

Nobody expected it to be a modern day facility.

Would you bitch the same about Fenway?

At least 7 SEC stadiums are better and have better gamedays. You can also make an argument for Arkansas, State and USC.

LSU
Bama
Auburn
A&M
UGA
UF
UT

It’s about the history. Not a gameday experience.

I guess I didn’t have the same expectations. Exceeded mine.

Only a few hours to tailgate but we had a blast.

It’s about January 1st, not the first weekend in September

If you didn’t have a good time there, that’s on you. I was there and the weather was perfect, everything was clean, orderly, and maintained, there was tons of history, and the place was crawling with tail.

10/10 would do again.

I’ve said it forever and get ridiculed for it. Went long ago. Tailgating on a golfing green is cool. The stadium itself is boring. Nothing about the stadium itself. It has history for a bowl game that is played there, that is really all it has. It’s just a one dimensional looking stadium.

I am getting the sense that many of you do not know what the word “overrated” means. It does not mean “bad”.

Not sure what your expectations were but my advice is just don't go back. I expected an exciting atmosphere in a beautiful and historic venue. My expectations were met.

Neither team plays there, except Stanford back in the day if it won the old PAC 8, so you are ignorant.
