They are about to experience forces of nature few people have the chance to. I don't understand what would prevent them from leaving, but I hope there is some chance they make it out alive.

This beast looks like it has a hard on for Grand Isle. I couldn’t imagine staying there and being face to face with a probable Cat 5.

You haven’t ever stayed through a Cat 4/5 that made an almost direct landfall. Grand Isle is right at the point of max surge on the eastern side of the eye.

There's not going to be anything left to cling to. Hopefully they'll find their bodies at some point, to give their families closure. There's a strong possibility that they don't find any of them.

Some billionaire should create survival pods with live video and audio for people to pay for the opportunity to ride one of these big storms out. Gotta be a better PPV event than a Jake Paul bout.
