You can't do "Hurricane" by Bob Dylan as it is about a boxer, not a storm.

My first take is Dylan's "Shelter from the Storm"

Hurricane Party by Cowboy Mouth is my favorite. I'm not a big CM fan, but I love that tune.

Mark Knopfler and Sonny Landreth - Cannibals

Pretty appropriate right now.

"Way down in Louisiana there's a hurricane coming
The little boy climbs the stairs
And all along the levee all the people come running
And the little boy's saying his prayers
And a sleepy little laddie smiles up at his daddy
And he's asking for his G.I. Joe
And daddy tucks him in with a kiss upon the chin
And says, "My little one, I love you so""

Doug Sahm - Texas Tornado

Yea I know it says tornado, but the "Texas tornado" in the lyrics is slamming the coastal towns.

I don’t know about that. I’m a jaded vet and haven’t kept in touch more than casually since Coventry. But I was at Walnut Creek in ‘97 when the remains of Hurricane Danny passed over us. I don’t think it was technically a hurricane at that point but we still had a break in the storm as the eye passed over us during set break. Then it picked up again after the second set started. A friend and I had tickets in the lawn and ponchos made of thin plastic barely thicker than Saran Wrap. But it was enough to keep my weed and cigarettes dry.

The cops all bailed, there was no one directing traffic after the show, and it was a nightmare getting out of the parking lot.
