Moving to the area soon and trying to choose between the two. From just a course standpoint which is better?

They're no Webble Beach but U club will test your game more but it's tougher to get a tee time there and they always have tournaments. I'd pick BRCC every time.

It’ll be easy to join UClub. It won’t be so easy for BRCC but it’s the choice of the two.

Not the price of membership or monthly dues.

Or practice area. Much better practice facilities at UClub.

But yes, everything else is better at BRCC.

Make sure you get a good sponsor for BRCC

Right...I don't think it's possible to just show up and "join" BRCC. Maybe I'm wrong though.

You’re right. Need multiple sponsors. You and your family to meet, eat, and play with members/board/GM/pro. Not sure about waiting list or member cap right now.

This is hard. What is your game like, what type of course do you want, where are you living in town?

UClub is great for the price. It's a tough course and had some really good holes. It's always in good shape, for the most part. It's definitely what you would call a championship golf course.

BRCC is an old park style course. It's not nearly as hard as UClub. It's in immaculate shape.

They are just vastly different

BRCC is probably top 3 best conditioned course in the state, the state-am in 2019, was the best it’s ever been

Also. BRCC doesn't do tee times. Getting on UClub can be worse than a packed muni.

I generally agree with this but I would add that I think BRCC can be deceptively hard. While it doesn’t have near the length or water that U-club does, the fairways aren’t as wide and BRCC has oak trees in the rough that hang over the edge of the fairway. It can be a real problem if you can’t hit it straight.

From a course standpoint I prefer BRCC as it’s usually in better shape and don’t have to fight for tee times. Plus I like the old school tree lined courses.
You can spray it more at U Club.

That being said if I had to pick I’d join U club, easier to play with your buddies and not as stuffy as brcc can be.
