We made a trip in 2022 and got to play all of Kohler, both at Sand Valley, and Erin Hills. If it is just one round of golf, I would recommend Erin Hills. If you can go for one day and get 36 holes in, go to Sand Valley. Both SV and Mammonth are alot of fun. As the other poster mentioned, if ...

Wedge Fitting

Posted by tigerfan019 on 6/7/23 at 9:11 am
Has anyone ever done a fitting for wedges? If so, can it be done fully on mats at a place like Golftec? Wanting to replace my wedges and get fitted for proper wedges since I know nothing about bounce and grind....
I had some friends go last year. He said his only regret was not being in better physical/cardio shape. He also said to take a day of rest in between rounds to go explore and relax/rest. Said there’s not much to do around the courses
I went to Bandon in 2021 with a large group. I...

I am fortunate to have been on two trips with my dad the past two summers. Both trips were unforgettable not only for the golf, but to spend those weeks with him! I am sure your daughters feel the same way! ...

We did all three locations. The biggest consensus from our group was the Sand Valley would be skipped on the next trip. Not because the golf wasn’t good, but as others pointed out, it took up so much time traveling. Erin Hills is a must if you are going up there. It is within an hour of Milwauke...

Leaving Monday to go on a trip with my dad and some of his buddies. We are playing Erin Hills, Sand Valley, and the Kohler courses. I have played Whistling Straits and River at Blackwolf Run, has anybody played the others up there? I am super stoked for Erin Hills. Also looking forward to the Spotte...

Probably around $4-5K plus caddies. That would also be meals and rooms...
I just think that though SR is a full course, it’s really a different vibe than all the other courses and it doesn’t take the mental focus of the others. Plus, no bunkers and very few penal areas just make it the most fun walk you’ll ever take.
I agree 100% with this. The walk is u...

I can certainly see why it is the highest rated. Again, I think it was more of me playing so bad that particular round. Personally, after Bandon Dunes, I could probably rank them 4 different ways with more visits. But yes, I am very fortunate to have been able to experience how great that place ...

I went with a group of my dad's friends and one of the guys had been 6 or 7 times. We had a travel agent do flights for all of us. To my understanding, he worked it out with the resort on reservations, tee times, and lodging. ...

I guess I could have prefaced that list by saying after Bandon Dunes, which was by far my favorite, the other 4 could all be basically be second on my list. I guarantee if I went back tomorrow and played them all again, the order would change. In no way is Pacific a bad course. Probably did not help...

Bandon Dunes Trip

I was fortunate enough to go on a trip to Bandon Dunes with my dad (during Ida no less), and wanted to just share a little bit. If ever you are given the chance, do not miss out! I have not been to a bunch of "bucket list" golf courses or trips, but cannot imagine one being better than this plac...

Played Carter this morning with some buddies (one frequent poster on this board), and the course was actually in great shape. Carts were 90 degrees, which was a pleasant surprise. Greens were good. Fairways were fine but needed to be mowed; obviously that is to be expected. Hopefully we get some dry...

I am a single digit (8 lol) and I am fairly serious (as serious as you can be with 3 kids 9 and younger). This is an early Christmas gift from my folks. I have never been fitted or hit many different options. I understand the importance of the shaft. Hopefully, they will have several options to hit....

Driver Fitting

Me and my old man are going get fitted for new drivers next week. Was just wondering the board's opinion on the current drivers. I actually hit a Ping G425 Max as a part of a rental set and fell in love with it. Wanted to see if anyone has preferences in the new TaylorMades, Callaways, Titelist, etc...

Sea Island

I am going to Sea Island this weekend with the family and luckily I get to play Seaside. Was wondering if anyone has been up there and played. I am sure it will be one of the nicest courses I have ever experienced....
Whistling Straits for me. Went up there for LSU/Wisky in 2016. Played Straits and Blackwolf Run. Something awesome about playing a course that you have seen on TV. Going to Bandon in August with my pops. We are playing all 5 courses. I cannot wait for that trip!...
