Again, I'm not gonna say I've seen the federal budget allocations and state budget at issue, so sure I'm guessing, but I'd find it hard to believe that there are no federal block grants that go to a state government authority that in turn allocates it where justified. That is the case with other various state and local governmental agencies. Are state departments of education and local school boards specifically ineligible?

That's what a lot of retarded Republicans did when they didn't vote for Trump because he's "mean".

Yet the acknowledgement from DeSantis administration on Thursday indicates that while the state could pull funding equal to the salaries of board members, it can’t directly strip their pay.

Now Desantis people are saying they can't cut the pay, they can cut the equivalent amount of funding.

And itis apparent from Desantis latest comments he is in fact backing down from his original threat, instead, warning of "unspecified consequences".

Desantis and Biden are both wrong.

Residents in the counties of South Florida may think differently on this issue than residents in the Panhandle counties.

All these debates over masks and closure of schools should be settled at the local level.

Moment of truth for Desantis. We shall soon see if he is everything his supporters say he is

If he doesn't fire them, he is a pretender.

That's what I said about Trump too. And that guy left an even much cushier life than Desantis, or anyone else for that matter, and volunteered to run straight into enemy fire in order to do everything he believed he could do to make our country great again.

But I'll be damned if those people didn't micro-nit pick him on his tone on social media and his tone toward those in the media who for 4 years devoted their lives to obstruct him and make his life miserable. All the while working for free.

And what did he get in return? A whole bunch of flighty former supporters who turned their backs on him as soon as it became painfully obvious that the election challenges weren't going to succeed as hoped. Then it was nothing but catty criticism and denouncement of just about everything he worked towards and succeeded in and stood for while in office. I mean, literally, from day one all of a sudden he was a failure for not immediately firing half the federal government, first days in office. As if that's anywhere near realistic. And just about everything else following that, the critics blatantly using 20/20 hindsight, pronouncing how he should have done it their way. Thus, he's yesterday's news.

I've said that if I were Desantis, having observed the chaotic and flighty nature of those who he'd be courting, I wouldn't want anything to do with running for President.

Tl;dr

**And thanks for allowing me to vent.

my guess is the next play by the democrats will be to get the teachers union to strike so they can blame desantis for the kids not being able to learn. That would be my play. then the media will blast out teachers strike because of unsafe work conditions in florida, students forcd to suffer because of desantis anti science right wing views.

I hope desantis is gop nominee 2024.

the sane people will stomp him on TV.
he will be a pariah.

this is the utter depth of depravity.
the central figure of the cult DJT demands his followers - like desantis
pretend to worship freedom instead of ending the pandemic with 98% immunizations and 95% masked.
such a jerk.

So your idea of small government is to allow local government to act as big government?
