I forget who specifically said it, but some critical race theorist said the one thing the Nazis got right was indoctrinating the children early on to the point where they’d rat their parents to the Gestapo. They are looking at Nazi Germany’s playbook, think that the methods are good ideas, they’re just going to be targeting a different group of people.

For those wondering, one of the things both Fascism and Communism have in common is both view anyone who isn’t in lock-step with the regime to be an enemy. So take your pick. The Democrat Party, which controls all three branches of government is embracing both Fascism and Communism.
