Never complain. Keep a good attitude.

Treat your wife like she’s going through the toughest part of her life. It’ll give you purpose and strength.

You’ll prove to her that you’re twice the man she ever thought you were. Your son will grow up seeing what a good man is, and on your deathbed, you will have the comfort of knowing that your contribution to this world will live on after you.

ETA: Get the frick off TD. You have better things to do.

Our little girl is 10 days old, and I’ve gotta say, it ain’t as bad as people make it out to be. First couple nights at home before that first pediatrician appt were rough because we weren’t feeding her enough and he basically said bump those feeding numbers up and unless you’re a total dumb arse, you can’t feed them too much.

3 am feedings suck and she’s a little randomly fussy between 7 and 11, but usually we can just feed her more and she’s back happy again.

Keep em fed, keep em in a dry diaper, and it’s an amazing experience about 95% of the day.

To be fair, we’re in our early 30’s and pretty much the last couple in our friend groups to have kids, so we’ve learned from everybody else’s problems. Couldn’t imagine having a child before 25.

High highs and low lows, enjoy the good times!

If you’re lucky it gets better when they’re 4

Mine are 9 and 12 and I still remember those days. It really doesn’t last long and I actually miss it now. You’ll be fine.

This is the easy part. He sleeps all day and can't go anywhere.

Believe it or not, you are at the easiest time right now. Just wait and be patient.

Doesn't really get better for a few years. People convinc themselves it does as a coping mechanism.

Enjoy having family pictures more than you have sex.

Twenty years from now you won’t remember the hard work or the inconveniences.

It goes by in the blink of an eye.

Take good care of your son, son.

He’s counting on you and his mom.

I was straight up nocturnal for a few of those early months with mine. The good news on the getting better part, they become a lot more interactive as they get older.

Of course we have the crib in our room right now, and she's decided she likes to stand up and interact with my face at 3 am lately. Which is, definitely a thing.

Felt the same way you did.

Checking in at 10 months now and love it. It gets way better.
