I don't think that is blood it's only on his right side near arm pit in would think it would be in front of him. Maybe holding something under his arm/elbow

No. I think they are involved based on the injuries. The attack was unusual.

Because he ditched his overshirt and the undershirt only had what soaked through.

Thanks?

I would guess it turns out to be one of the homeless nuts they let rule the streets.

Not gonna lie, looks like the dude in the last picture has blood all over his wifebeater and is probably trying to get a homie to pick him up on his phone. If they found a bloody shirt somewhere in the park, this is my prime suspect

And is that a cane in his right hand? Very odd.

As someone else mentioned, if he dipped through the north side of the park by the Botanical Garden or through that old rail bed section of Beltline he’d have crossed over Piedmont into Ansley or over Monroe into Morningside.

With the home values in those neighborhoods I’d bet someone has him on camera

Dude looks to be walking with a cane, and I lean more towards some sort of athletic dri-fit shirt that has red sides than blood on an undershirt.

Serious question, would the FBI be sent in if they thought it was a black guy who did this?

FBI was sent in for the Atlanta Child Killer who APD thought was White until FBI profiler told them it was likely a disgruntled Black Male. They were pretty much spot on with the profile of Wayne Williams.

Regardless I live here and have to do a double take when any perpetrators of violent crime inside the city limits are anything but Black. It’s very very rare.

That cane is throwing me off. My first thought was that he was holding something under his arm as well, but it seems odd he would be holding it with the arm he’s using his cane with.

I used to live by Piedmont Park and freshly moved to Marietta. I’m 95% sure dude with the cane is a guy named is William. He’s a neighborhood figure, is always walking around that part of town, and does yard work at a lot of the homes around there. He ALWAYS wears a white wife beater (if it’s above 70) and also has a cane. From my interactions with him he’s just an older, very nice man.

You’d think even at that time of night that there would be enough traffic coming down 10th for someone to see or hear something.

That’s a lot of activity between him assaulting them, killing the dog, and I’m guessing chasing her down to finish her off since she was found 100 yards away.

I haven't seen this. Where are you getting such detail?

Lot of conflicting information on this from local news. I have read she was 100 ft away. 1000 ft away. 100 yards away etc.

Initial reports said she was found 100 yards into the park. It's changed several times. APD/FBI seems to have some sort of info they are keeping quiet on. I wonder if that dog managed to tear a piece of clothing etc. from the killer? There is definitely something or things they are keeping under wraps.

Why do you think it was a cartel of some kind?

The husband was beheaded. That's usually a tell that the cartel carried it out.
