WSJ: Why Is the FDA Attacking a Safe, Effective Drug?

Ivermectin is a promising Covid treatment and prophylaxis, but the agency is denigrating it.

Ivermectin fights 21 viruses, including SARS-CoV-2, the cause of Covid-19. A single dose reduced the viral load of SARS-CoV-2 in cells by 99.8% in 24 hours and 99.98% in 48 hours, according to a June 2020 study published in the journal Antiviral Research.
Some 70 clinical trials are evaluating the use of ivermectin for treating Covid-19. The statistically significant evidence suggests that it is safe and works for both treating and preventing the disease.
Despite the FDA’s claims, ivermectin is safe at approved doses. Out of four billion doses administered since 1998, there have been only 28 cases of serious neurological adverse events, according to an article published this year in the American Journal of Therapeutics. The same study found that ivermectin has been used safely in pregnant women, children and infants.
If the FDA were driven by science and evidence, it would give an emergency-use authorization for ivermectin for Covid-19. Instead, the FDA asserts without evidence that ivermectin is dangerous.
At the bottom of the FDA’s warning against ivermectin is this statement: “Meanwhile, effective ways to limit the spread of COVID-19 continue to be to wear your mask, stay at least 6 feet from others who don’t live with you, wash hands frequently, and avoid crowds.” Is this based on the kinds of double-blind studies that the FDA requires for drug approvals? No.

Sorry bro I only trust science.

Because they are bought and paid for by big pharma.

Which is why being legit sick in this country is aggrevating I don't want your new drug because the patents on the old ones that work fine ran out.

I mean... this shouldn't be surprising to anyone who can think for themselves.

Dude I was called every name in the book today for recommending that everyone who chooses not to get vaccinated, consider stashing Ivermectin for the day that their number is called.

Surprising to see actual journalism

Was my first thought too.
This article is going to dent a lot of cogitative dissonant barriers built up by 2 years of massive propaganda and it's going to be painful for some.

Pfizer tweeted yesterday that they are developing a new antiviral to pair with their vaccine. This gravy train won't ever stop.

Its an opinion article written by two economists lol

Because we signed a contract with the major vax creators that they'd have rights to create a cure where one hasn't been created yet.
ETA: It's why they bashed HCQ etc. Big pharma runs the country... see bill cassidy's cucked arse.

I mean, where does one buy a drug to stash if you don't have a script?
Posted on 7/29/21 at 12:36 pm to hubertcumberdale
It’s not an opinion article. It’s an editorial where they state facts in support of a drug and question why it’s being vilified without proof.
Also:
Mr. Henderson, a research fellow with the Hoover Institution at Stanford University, was senior health economist with President Reagan’s Council of Economic Advisers. Mr. Hooper is president of Objective Insights, a firm that consults with pharmaceutical clients.

When I had Covid in January, I was given Ivermectin by the doctor I saw and a few other things. My main symptoms were just losing taste and smell, but I did feel like I bounced back rather quickly minus my smell and taste taking weeks to come back.
The doctor I saw for the televisit was telling me that at the time he had been doing Ivermectin for a while and was seeing great results. He said that out of all the patients he saw through January at the time, he only lost 3 patients, and of those 3 they had multiple comorbidities or they did not actually follow his instructions (taking the Vitamin D, ivermectin, etc).
Its a shame they aren't promoting it more.

So ivermectin molecularly attached an inherit molecule (to make it a "new" treatment) that when hydrolyzed after injection ivermectin can work as it always has and the ivermectin can do its antiviral work.
FWIW, this is how vyvanse works but amphetamine is still the active ingredient like most ADHA medicines.

How Do I Get COVID-19 Medication?
Posted on 7/29/21 at 12:43 pm to GumboPot
LOL but you won't take the vaccine because the FDA hasn't given it full use authorization right?

consider stashing Ivermectin
This may be why people were calling you a dumbass. How does your gigabrain think that you are going to obtain doses of Ivermectin to "stash"?
I'm sure plenty of MDs will be overjoyed to put their licenses at risk so that you can self-medicate on a whim.
