A first time participant smoked it with an easy victory. Congrats to…

1. No8Easy2 - Chile Rellenos with Homemade Caribbean Red Savina and Serrano and Jalapeño Hot Sauce

It was a hotly contested race between second and third:

2. MSMHater - Chile Rellenos 2 Ways

3. RonFNSwanson - Mole Negro with Shrimp

Fourth was not far behind, and one of our most frequent winners: holygrale

Submission Thread

Everyone got on the scoreboard, so free pats on the head and a participation ribbon for everyone else.

No8Easy2, please tell us, what is our next challenge ingredient?

Well done all... I had some good ideas for this one but ran out of time. Excited to see what's up next.

I got really excited when I read that it was peppers because I had lots of ideas, but it was too close to packing up/moving. Would have loved to see your submission!

I'm hoping to be unpacked in time for this next one and maybe even have an excuse to buy some fun kitchen gadget and experiment.

ETA: And huge congrats to all of the winners!

But seriously thanks everyone appreciate the votes
Some awesome chefs around here so honored

And not really sure of the rules here, so is it an ingredient or a protein
just anything you want to pick?

Doesn’t have to be a protein, just an ingredient that can be a featured player in a dish.

Also, you can’t pick one that’s been used before. See the stickied thread if you need to see what has already been done. (ETA: I see t00f beat me to it on this point.)

Well then I guess I’ll go with a family favorite around here, bring on the bacon!
