This has been the news everywhere, vaccines are way up.
Unfortunately, if they are doing, say, Pfizer, they won't have the full effects of the shot for 5 weeks. So it doesn't help us a whole lot in the meantime, but I'm glad people are coming around.
It would be nice to be at 50-55% fully immunized by september.

If you know someone in their 20s or 30s who is currently in the hospital for covid- the majority of Louisiana admissions are in that age group-
That’s an outright lie! The average age of admitted patient at Oschner is 50. That was reported on KATC directly from Oschner.

Not sure why all the downvotes. People getting their panties in a wad over someone getting a vax...
They should be super happy that OTHER people are getting it.

Why do you lie and mislead people so much?
You are truly one of the worst fricking posters on the board. It would be best for everyone if you just left.

Link to this.
Buddy is a hospital manager or supervisor something and his average age of patients right now is 50

He can't.
The blitz from everywhere is certainly on. Especially nurses on social media. Docs don't want the liability but nurses just report the "stats" on face book and tell everyone how important it is to get the shot. Makes me more and more confident in my intent to wait and see how this plays out before getting a shot I can't reverse and no one is responsible for if something goes wrong.

20-39 only make up 18% of admits at Ochsner

It’s the vaccinated people spreading it now.
Sure, they’re vaccinated, but that only means that they don’t show symptoms when they do carry the virus. Which means they never feel sick and go out and congregate and act normal while spreading the virus they’re carrying. MURDERERS!

You are going to have to link that fricking shite
Because that is full of fricking shite my friend
There may be a case for Region 9 (North Shore), raw case counts for < 40 age group is higher than prior peaks. Higher raw case count * identical hospitalization rate would be higher admits (even for a really low hospitalization rate).

Even after the edit, you're still a liar.

It’s not identical hospitalization rates. It’s not even close.

Sounds like our media.
"Oops, turns out we lied. Here's our correction two months later, but the intended fear mongering has already worked."

Im assuming the drop from 60s average age to 50s means there is a higher rate of 18-40 year olds than before.
What about volume? Are we seeing less or more cases/day than this time 3 months ago? Less cases means averages become less and less reliable.
