The 90s grunge version of Woodstock.

Who thought that wouldn't be a total disaster?

‘94 was much more Grunge than ‘99.
by ‘99 Grunge movement was over.

21 year old me was there. The most memorable thing to me wasn’t the fires/riots, it was Flea opening the Red Hot Chili Peppers set with a bass solo, but the damn sound was off.

Korn set from the first night is insane.

I saw Korn 8 or 9 times over the years I was going to shows like that. The best show of their's I saw was in Atlanta when they toured with Rob Zombie. That was a hell of a show and was Zombie's first "stripped down" tour. He didn't even need all the theatrics to bring the place down.

I liked how the crowd turned into a waterbed when Blind kicked into gear.

You’re nearly to stupid to insult. There were very few millennials at Woodstock 99. It was mostly Gen X cucks who were 19-34 at the time.

I have friends that went and had a great time. I think all of the chaos happened on last day when most had gone home.

YouTube thought I should watch that Limp Bizkit show today so I did. Durst on the plywood for Faith was awesome. Break Stuff was also awesome. I bet no band wanted to follow that act.

Their music had no lyrical substance but that wasn’t the point.

CSB: I was told an unsubstantiated story in the early ‘00s that Durst was friends with the guy that started Salt Life.

Correct, the chaos was at the tail end of the last night, with most of if occurring after the show was over. Before that it was just a pretty fun few days except for the heat.

Most of our group had just abandoned our tents/belongings and walked out a hole in the fence toward the middle/end of the Chili Peppers set, since that stage was close to the parking area. Ended up driving straight through the night back to our base (Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery, ME).

Two stayed through the riots and said things got pretty rough overnight.

I'm watching it now on YouTube. Jesus, I don't know how I was able to do festivals back in the day. Every year we'd go to two Ozzfests and a Warped Tour, and anything else we could make. I survived the first Bonnaroo, even if the memory is spotty. Looking at that many people now....no fricking way I could do it now. I'd be throwing elbows before the first song because the panic attack had set in.

Lots of titties to be seen on that set, too, which YouTube shows all....with no parental warning or whatever it is.

Woodstock 99 proved that White people can be a bunch of destructive morons to. The spirit of that event couldn't be any more opposite from the original Woodstock. They should be ashamed, I doubt they are.

I mean...a lot of the destruction during the BLM/antifa/Biden supporter riots of 2020 was committed by white morons.
