Brave rebels who lost are celebrated all throughout history. Their deeds and gallantry are still worthy stories and the folly of bureaucrats doesn’t negate the story of the soldiers.
My point with the pic was…all the time and money spent on that, and the needless division it sowed didn’t do a GODDAMN THING to address the ACTUAL PROBLEMS New Orleans, or any of the other cities going after statues, face.
Doesn’t solve the crime, the blight, the degeneracy. Doesn’t fix the potholes, or the corruption, or the madness in the streets.
It’s a travesty and “rock solid proof” of how fricked up this modern world is.

It's quite a rabbit hole to explore if you're bored. They're kind of like the Bill Nye the Self-Proclaimed Science Guys of France... except Bill Nye never actually tried to do PhD-level research with hilarious results.
There are some things online where real physicists analyze their work. It's pretty dense stuff, but the parts I understood were pretty funny. There's like a whole paragraph of hand-waving and jargon that ultimately just means "any plane contains at least one point."
