wife just sent me a picture of the BREC museums new mask rules. Everyone over 8 must wear a mask unless they present proof of vaccination. my question is how is it legal to require someone to disclose their private medical information at a publicly funded institution. Not asking how you feel about the mandate, etc, just if this is legal?

You’re required to show proof of vaccination to live in the dorms at LSU. I assume the requests is legal.

It's like y'all can't just use Google or something to look up this easy-to-find information.

If the governor has a mask mandate under his executive orders (which the legality is debatable about in its own right), then I would believe they can do it. If not, I would think they cannot - if it's open to the public. But I'm not a lawyer.

I don’t think being publicly funded has anything to do with it

Do the trannies that read at story time have to be masked and vaccinated?

So now Google has supplanted the SCOTUS on matters of Constitutionality?

Public schools have been requiring proof of vaccinations for decades

I think the Knock Knock Museum is a private non-profit that is partnered with BREC, not run by BREC.

Pretty sure Knock Knock is privately funded.

ETA: Knock Knock was closed for well over a year. They are doing whatever is necessary to avoid that again.

I don't have any problem with that. I don't have any problem with mandated vaccinations, and I'm not a nutjob "anti-vaxer". What I do have issue with is mandating a vaccine that is still under Emergency Use Authorization and hasn't been fully and properly vetted to the standard that every other medicine and vaccine exists under.

Encourage people to get it, fine, but until it gets full approval the mandate shite is just wrong.

You do have the option of not showing them and just wear a mask.

Per google

quote:

It is legal to ask why a person is not wearing a mask, including asking about a medical condition that prevents it. There are no legal prohibitions on what people can say to one another about their health.

I just went there. Mask at entry. But you can take it off after. No one enforcing it. It’s a lame power trip

You are not required to show anything, you can just wear a mask. You can volunteer to show them and then not wear a mask.
