I think I may have won my battle. I caught it early. Pretty sure it came in with my landscape. Luckily the rain allowed me not to cut my grass and I saw it popping out. I just Nuked it with round up until I didn’t see it anymore. Been a couple weeks and haven’t seen any new. I’ll just cut the dead patches and re sod the area.

Now on to the dove grass and other miscellaneous shite that I haven’t been able to spray for since it rains everyday

Roundup is pretty effective on it. I had some come in with my river sand. I used roundup and some quinclorac and it seems to have knocked it out.

With all this damn rain I’m gonna need a couple bottles of sedgehammer though.

It will be back. Sorry to tell you. I've had a couple unnoticeable, small spots in emerald zoysia since 2005. Tried everything from hand-applying straight 41% roundup with gloves and rubbing all of the foliage with it, to baking soda, to quinclorac and drive xlr8. ive been able to keep it from spreading. but it always rears it's ugly head again after you think you have it. never had it reach the seeding stage ever. But the roots just don't die. i've always just spot sprayed. but maybe a wide swath with quinclorac/drivexlr8 would be better and keep it from pulling life from untreated soil. idk

When I lived in gonzales there was a local cooperative that gave some great ideas on what works on Torpedo grass. It was pretty insightful- I never had much success with roundup.
Good luck. Torpedo grass is the worst.

A kinder, gentler method in Bermuda grass or zoysia grass is to use a formula with quinclorac. In centipede turf, use sethoxydim. This will kill the torpedograss but not damage the lawn. Many other lawns have no recommended selective herbicide.
